In this tutorial, we will learn about the BME680 Integrated Environmental Sensor. The BME680 is a Gas sensor that measures relative humidity, barometric pressure, ambient temperature, gas or Volatile Organic Compound & IAQ that is Index of Air Quality. Since pressure varies with altitude, BME680 can be used to measure the approximate altitude. Also by using some mathematical equation relating to temperature and humidity, we can also derive the Dew Point.
We will first go through the basic example from Adafruit BME680 Library and interface BME680 with Arduino. The library gives every measurement of environmental parameters including Gas value. The gas value is converted into Air Quality Index using some other library function called BSEC Library.
After this, we will use this sensor either with ESP32 or with ESP8266. Then we will create an Account in Ubidots and using MQTT protocol we will send the data from the hardware to Server. The data from the sensor can be monitored online from any part of the world on Ubidots dashboard. Hence MQTT protocol will establish a lightweight connection and regularly display the data with beautiful customized widgets. You can not only monitor this data from the computer but also from your Smartphone. Isn’t it a great Weather Station & environmental monitoring project? Hello, first really interesting! But i want to ask, did you use Raspberry Pi, which is installed with MQTT? Because i tried it, MQTT can't connect except i use Rasperry Pi.

In the free ubidots i only have 4000 dots. How can i change code for sending data every 5 or 10 minutes in stead of each payload ?

Good looking app. Can you run through calibration of the BME680 for accurate readings?
The sensor is pre-calibrated. And in order to get the proper highly accurate value the sensor needs to be powered on initially for 20-30 minutes.
