This song is amazing. I can relate to this song because I have had haunting experiences while I lived alone. You 'could' sleep, but you don't because you are being haunted. Which leads to the question, "Is there a ghost in my house?" I also love how the song implies he no longer lives alone and is thus no longer being troubled, and that maybe lonliness is the true haunter afterall. I love Band of Horses. Their music soothes my soul. The first time I saw them live was at the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO and I waited outside their tour bus to meet them and get their autographs for a special fluorescent lithograph tour poster I bought. They were super nice guys. I'll never forget meeting them.
Saw them at HOB here in Houston back in October. This was the only song I knew going in. I now know almost their entire catalog and am obsessed with the earlier songs. I"m about to give the new album a listen. They are amazing live!!
