such a cool video!! I am looking forward to watching the next ones already. I am myself a shaper from Morocco (HN Shapes), still a small community here so always very happy to watch and learn from people shaping from all over the world! Cheers guys
Back to the butt crack area...The deck and bottom don't lap on the inside of the swallow? The cloth only meets at the hard edge? I love how neat this looks and the strength I guess is fine?
Yes, what you couldn't see from this video is that on the deck we have 2 layers of 6oz cloth. The first layer does line the swallow very tightly. you are correct that we didn't wrap the swallow tail, but is very rare there will be damage because of this. And most likely if there is impact on that area, damage would occur with or without the extra single layer. Thank you for your questions, never hesitate to ask!
Hello; you say in other video something like "any feedback good..." however, you deleted my comment anyway; I let you other comment in this one: First you are letting aside 40 years of Fish development; there are many things that changed in that design to make a modern fish (fish; rocket fish etc) like building a thruster from 81 not a modern one.. -Regarding the lamination; tail and besides without over laps and leash cup in one side happen these: stress cracks ibetween bottom and rails and that the leash rail saver cannot reach the other side...to save the rails... Very strange that you guys there in Hawaii, where the power of the waves is at top, and you mention "custom" you do not do the reinforcement and the cup in the middle or a leash loop. Leash always hit the rails even more in wider tails
Thank you guys for the awesome footage!!!
