Beautiful collection!! All the sprayed edges editions are just stunning
This savage song from ve shwab and our dark duet were so good 🤌🏾🤌🏾
Right?!? I will never stop recommending them lol
I would take your Sun & the Void 👀👀👀 but yeah you have so many beautiful books!!!
Didn't even make it 2 minutes into the video before I went to look up a book on goodreads 😅 turns out Spice Road is on my tbr already, no idea when I added it though 😂 sounds super interesting!
that’s what I like to hear!!
You have such a nice collection of books!
thank you, ive rearranged it atleast 5 times so i feel like that definitely added to the look of it haha
i will die on a hill to promote the monsters of verity duology by ve schwab. SO GOOD!!
you and me both!!
Oooo I recommend Lovely War! I read it maybe 3 years ago so I can't remember much but it did make me cry 😂 the Greek Gods narrating it definitely made it a easier read for a historical fiction 😁
But The Keeper of Night was a miss for me 😢 I really wanted to relate to the main character's feelings about culture/belonging but I didn't, she also felt so young even though she's like 2000 years old 😅 I will say though the plot gets crazy 😂
ok that’s good to know cuz I’m not too familiar with historical fiction but those are some very valid points for keeper of night! Might have to put it off a bit longer lol
you had me a at space opera🫡
Jandy Nelson is releasing a new book this year after like 10 years, I'm really excited actually 😁 her plots are weird but I just like the vibes, it feels so magical.
I've been meaning to read The Library of Legends for years 😅 something about historical fiction is so difficult for me to want to pick up.
Anyway your bookshelves are lovely 😍 the dream fr (and I feel you on the not reading books by men 😂)
Has it really been 10 years? damn lol but I feel you on having a tough time picking up historical fiction! I feel like if it doesn’t have even a hint of fantasy, I’m out hehe but I wanna diversify my genres a bit more
@@_jasmine_flower thank you but hear me out I have a reason haha I’ve tried so hard but me and those books just don’t always click
Right, makes me feel old oof. Maybe we need to find historical fiction mixed with another genre 🤔
Yep, I totally get you - especially with fantasy books. If it's high fantasy written by a white man I have basically no interest 😅
I tried reading that CC book but the chapters were too long... I just couldn't it. I never hear people talk about Scythe...one of the best series I have read but I didn't read the last book yet
Wait I just started She Who Became the Sun! Only 2 chapters in but the writing is so good 😍
I wish you the best reading experience 🤞🏾
Thank youu 😁
ozi pls reassure me Before I Let Go has a happy ending…. I’m 25% into the audiobook (and freakin loving it) BUT I DONT SEE HOW THERES A HAPPY ENDING.??! PLS
Tia, I can't spoil it for you but trust that I'd never lead you astray lol
@@ozisorbit GOOD TO KNOW OK I’d trust u w my life
@@tiachu as you should
Have you read Blood heir? It's by Amelie Wen Zhao too and I think you'd like it
No ma’am but I’ll see what it’s about 🤍
respectfully … rob list 🫵
Could you recommend some middle eastern and North African stories?
of course! i recommend the stardust thief, the daevabad series, this woven kingdom, and the jasad heir. These are all fantasy books.
Have you read The Dark Vault duology by V.E.Schwab?? I really enjoyed it and I don't see anyone talking about it 😭 it's a YA urban fantasy where the memories from people's lives are stored in a copy of their body called a History. But sometimes they wake up and when they do they have to be kept from reaching the real world. The fmc is a Keeper who does that job, there's a subplot romance and a mystery element to the first book! It was really fun and had interesting uses of some tropes 😁
Also have you watched the Romantic Killer anime? I finished it last week and I loved it, can't believe I'd never heard of it. It's very cute and funny, but it does take a bit of a turn in the last few episodes 😅
This is the first I’m hearing of it, thanks for the rec 🫡
@@_jasmine_flower I did watch romantic killer, it was definitely a cute one!
I really hope you like it!
Yess, now I don't know what to watch lol finding animes is kind of a struggle
@@_jasmine_flower Ive gotten a ton of my anime recs from TikTok lol but most of them weren’t half bad
no bc how i read empire of gold before you and you put me on 🤔🤔
I’m blaming it on the mood reader in me 😂
omg Ozi!!! I thought you finished the daevabad trilogy😭🫢 FINISH IT. I had the best time reading that whole series. I haven't read the novella yet though
I’m having an internal struggle with the CHRONIC mood reader in me and I’m losing badly lol even my friends are bullying me to read it and I will… in like 6 months
