When I moved to Taiwan at 10, it was a huge culture shock and didn’t know Chinese. I struggled with school and really hated Taiwan. But after 4 years, that was when I loved it there. So happy you love Taiwan.

@@isabellexnguyen Just got back from Hualien (my first time there) and I think it might be my favorite place in Taiwan! Drop dead stunning Taroko Gorge and crystal blue beaches that are easy to bike too. That and the hostel mates I met were all super friendly. Favorite places to eat? Have lots of milk tea places for starters haha, really depends on the item.
damn man so many similarities in our paths haha, I also spoke poor canto with my parents and decided on a whim to learn Mandarin in Taiwan because I'd never been and heard good things about it, a year and a bit later I'm still here, definitely crushing on Taiwan.
