Nice video and speaking voice. I just added the GPS unit to my shopping cart. Will buy soon. It will go great with my motorbike tour videos. Greetings from Thailand!
If we install the camera to the vehicle, we can take the right and left side by giving the command to the outside CAM to the GPS PREVIEW Remote from the car?
I have the same remote, it's soooo convenient if you're out of reach of the camera. I have my Ace pro on my dashboard and now i don't even have to reach to pause, stop record etc. There is a weird glitch on the remote though, not sure if you're having the same problem. The compass, if you set it to any orientation other then 0, the compass wheel reads correctly but the arrow direction and gps data reading is incorrect lol oops.
Humm, I have not ran into that issue, I did calibrate the GPS on the remote before using it. I'll have to try it out again later today and see if it glitches
That SNAP Mount is a great product and the magnets are SUPER strong ! I like that they add the rubber mat with it to not scratch the paint on vehicles. No worries about it falling off, I've been on the highway with it before and it didn't budge
@@northcountryscenes9872 ace pro, have the best night image on any action cam. that's it. Looks good. I will take osmo action 4. Best action cam. Buy combo.
Man, this video is just what I needed to watch. I was going all in with the dji Action 4 but watched troubling review about using the remote GPS. This one is much simpler and reliable. I ordered the Ace Pro and the GPS Review Remote both from Amazon. One question, what did you place on the hood of your pickup below the magnetic mount?
@@WORTHITORNOT Thank you very much. I just bought the Ace Pro for driving vlog pov videos for motorcyclists in the hill country and elsewhere. Now I have to rehome several GoPro Hero 10's and the DJI Action Cam. The GPS is much simpler with the Insta360 setup and I already have several Insta360 cameras and I can use it with the X4 too.
Great remote but today not compatible with the insta360 X3 camera. So this new remote only works with 1 camera ace pro. Thats a big issue if you have both cameras
I mentioned in the video it actually works with the Ace Pro and the Ace. Insta360 is very good about adding features to their existing line of cameras and pretty sure they will also with this GPS Preview remote, just like they added the A.I. warp to all existing cameras.
Hey, would you be able to use the GPS data from the tracker separately without the need to the insta360 camera? say for instance if you wanted to add the overlay for a full frame camera or gopro? Thanks
@WORTHITORNOT battery only lasts about 20min when the camera is on for 360 recording. Mine always needs to be plugged into a wire when I am driving between shoots or on a battery bank or it's dead when I need it. Sometimes it dies during a shoot and I can't turn off the camera where it is mounted with the remote. Maybe I got a bad one . I imagine the big color display will use even more power on the gps one.
Insta360 has confirmed that if you add GPS to any 4k footage on the phone app you can only export in a maximum of 1080p which renders it pretty useless for content creators.
But you can pull the video off of the camera and the GPS data is imprinted on the video file which can get added in the Insta360 Desktop app and rendered/exported at 4K as I showed in this video
@@WORTHITORNOT but the problem is the desktop doesn't have the variety of layouts or the Garmin connect so you can't get heart rate. So either the app needs to be 4k or the studio needs all the features of the app

Thanks mate. I just bought this set up and your video helped me big time
Very cool mounting it on your truck.
Yes you can get some nice b-roll shots with it for sure.
Nice!
It really is
Thanks great video ,been trying to get to grip with insta360 X4 and GPS preview remote this video helped loads
Great video. Exactly what I was looking for as I just purchased one of these things today. Thank you.
Great informative video, thanks for posting😁
Almost like, garmin virb 8 years ago. To bad they stopped there line. Gps tracking is so nice. They had Timecode in cam as standard too.

I’m not sure I understand, are you asking if the GPS remote will turn the camera left or right?

Hello,great video
Im wondering if this remote can work through or around walls or does it need a direct line of sight?

Neat product, but I like that snap mount. Is the magnet pretty strong on it? I’d hate to have my Action 4 fall off my car. Thanks

That’s a cool item. Thanks for showing how to use the gps on the video. I’m curious about your thoughts to get the Ace Pro or Ace ?
You know what needs you have. ?
@@hurtighansen1 just good image and stabilization while trail riding my bicycle and easy to use.
@northcountryscenes9872 Anytime ! I have the Ace coming from Insta360 and will do a comparison vs the Ace Pro and also the Action 4 and Hero 12.

Does exist any remote that will remote control simultaneously 2 cameras insta 360 ace pro?

Nice I’d love one that captures fall foliage drives for using screenshot pictures of for creating travel content 👍
Do you need the gps watch if your not using that on the video or do you still need it to help with seeing?
It's just for GPS data to be put onto the video file, if you don't need GPS data, then you don't need the GPS remote.
@@WORTHITORNOT thank you so much for the feedback
also do you need the waterproof case? or is it waterproof already?
does the hood mount come with the rubber protector? I didn't see that on amazon link, it didn't show a rubber piece included?

It’s only for Insta360 products
I've read that it can pair up to 4 Ace Pro cameras. But can it turn on/off or record/stop simultaneously all the cameras?
No, it's linked to one camera at a time
🙂👍
Battery life on blue tooth remotes is very poor.
Not on this one, I've used it at least 12-15 times and have not charged it.

Transfer video to your phones photo/video library or if using the desktop app, just export it in 4K at 200Mbps
