    Also, you should consider leveling the car off (removing your blocks you rode up on) before checking the level of oil you're putting inside. It can make a difference.

    I didn't notice any mention of it, but you should also buy and replace the crush washer on the oil drain plug.

    Great video, thank you! What are your general thoughts on the Mazda 6? Im thinking of buying a 2009 diesel. Are Mazdas reliable, are parts expensive?

      Matt Banton i am a guy who owns a Mazda 6 2.0 non diesel. But I have owned it for more than 8 months and I have driven it for a total of 10000 miles and i have not changed anything beside the regular oil change. It is a wonderful car with a sporty feeling. The 2.2l diesels are incredibly reliable. Just stay far away from the 2.0 diesels because they break.

      @@drewtalksu have to put 5w-20 oil type 😭 engines have different level of viscosity needed. you can break ur engine by picking the wrong one

    does this engine use synthetic oil only ?

    • @drewtalks
      @drewtalks  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no, it uses 5w 20 conventional oil. I use synthetic and wait a little longer between changes. If you do start using synthetic I have been told you do not want to go back to conventional.

      @@drewtalks I am curious as to why they recommend conventional. That is what scares me to switch to Synthetic. Lol!
