What Shyamal ji is pointing is so important. Most of them brush this off. Final match expectations and pressure in India is next level. The match could be turned around at some point if there was absence of pressure, with pressure players feel brain-fogged. If people like Shyamalji could train the players, probably players can cope well. Not in any way blaming the players. It takes next-level guts to perform live while being watched by crores of people and we can empathise with that.
Like Wasimji said there was some disappointment and nervous energy already after the Aussies won the toss, and we could feel it too.
One sensitive observation, Rohit tossed the coin inside the ring on finals. Somewhere felt if he was influenced by outside noise commenting about that. The moment we try to please or get approval from others, we are not our authentic self and are giving away our energy.

When you are in final you need to have mentally to win whatever the condition, figure out, not dependent on pitch, imaginary weakness of opposite team, dew, light etc. This is why west wins all kinds of sports finals.
This World cup is set up nicely for India by BCCI like no Ground repetitive venues for India . Batting Pitch like Bangalore, Delhi and Hyderabad , Pune where not considered for India when Playing with Big teams because in these pitches there is nothing for Bowlers . So they scheduled this venues for weaker team. & If SA batted First in Eden Garden against India, India would have lost or they might have felt difficult while chasing as it happened for Aus in Semis. If NZ batted First in SF in Mumbai, they would have won because batting second they reached 330 means if they would have batted first and India would have felt the Same Pressure while batting Second, because within 18 Overs batting second was difficult for batting second team in Mumbai. It was Luck through out the tournament and Final it was not in India s Favour.

All I have to say is that the best team of the entire tournament did not win the WC. This Indian team will Australia 9 out of 10 times if the conditions are the same for both teams for the entire length of the game. This is just my thoughts!

There is only one reason for Final loss. Aussies were playing with nothing to lose cos they had no Aussie fan pressure and they knew they had a weaker team. Even if they lost, it wouldnt have mattered much for them since most of the seniors already have WC and WTC final trophies.
India on the other hand were in Do or Die situation. They had huge pressure as it was last WC of Rohit and Kohli, 2 ODI legends. And added to that the huge fan pressure.
aussies didnt think they were a weaker team. they knew they could beat india. thats the mentality u need. not accepting beforehand that u are a weak team. that mentality wont win u finals and icc trophies

Correct it should be a day game so that the pitch remains the same throughout the day so that both teams gets the opportunity then it will be a fair competition specially in the final
It’s similar to the lost to Pak in Semis in T20I WC in UAE when the game was already won by Pak when they won the toss and decided to bowl

Two things -
1. Stop blaming the toss and pitch - You cannot be world champions only winning toss. You have to be world champions to be good enough to win in any conditions. Anyway, india would have batted first so let’s stop blaming the toss
2. Middle order - Rahul didn’t need to take risks but consolidation means taking 4-5 singles every over, not 4-5 dots. I can look past 1 boundary in 30 overs but not the lack of singles and doubles.
3. Indian fielding - Australia fielded brilliantly with both saves and catches. Meanwhile, India dropped a catch in the first over. They weren’t fielding as intensely as Australia.

I think Toss is vital in cricket, considering factors like weather, pitch etc. This is isn’t creating big impact in other games like Football or hockey. So there should be a IPL kind of fixture in knockout games and best of three final in cricket so it will not be a one sided game in cricket World Cup final.

Nobody talking about dirty politics, how they wanted to use Indian win as a political gain. They changed the semi final pitch last moment, but India scored 400 runs so nobody noticed. Again in final they made a terrible pitch to play so India had advantage. India could have beaten that Australian side 9 out of 10 times on a good pitch.
