      I am glad you enjoyed the video. I have a couple of videos this month from locations I have visited that highlight black voices and accomplishments. I love to share the history of others in a way to start conversations and celebrate the diversity of everyone around us that makes us all unique and wonderful!! Thank you for watching!!!!

    My man changed the way we eat and secured that for everyone. Impressive legacy. I didn’t know they had a place like this in honor of him.

    Thank you also for touching on the last name issue. I know to most they will never understand what is it to not be able to determine where you come from based on your name itself. Records were not the same then and tracing your family is near impossible even with modern advances. It saddens me to know that I might never know where my family originated factually and only have stories to work from even today. I believe this is why the DNA testing has become much more popular within the African American culture, more and more of us are simply trying to grasp where our families have come from and what traditions we have lost along the way. I have friends who have discovered their heritage and they now can connect with those roots and bring their children a better sense of who their ancestors were, if nothing else to fill in some of the many blanks which have been glossed over by ill record keeping over history.

      No problem!! I know I have heard your sentiments echoed by many who are just wanting to be able to find answers. I am by no means the voice of all voices to share this with others but if my videos start even a twinkle of a conversation then I consider that a move in the right direction toward change.

      Glad you enjoyed it!! I really personally enjoy history and people who are inspirational. I feel like in the world of so much going on that stories like these need a platform even today because so often society doesn't continue to echo their amazing contributions. This man changed the way our food is produced and his methods are still the backbone of that industry even today!!

    You have such diverse content, I never know what I will clicking to find when I receive your notifications. These past two have shown very different sides of the historical fence. Did you do that back to back for context or because the locations were close together? Could be both, but fascinating to see how the stories though in similar times were so vastly different in the delivery. Really enjoyed both from the perspective of your story telling, really is like watching a television program.

    • @BunnyPlaysHere
      @BunnyPlaysHere  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little bit of both actually. These happened around the same are during the same time so it is very interesting to see how different people in the same region were each effected differently. I think it is really important to share stories that really do put into perspective the real life at the time, it is hard for us to understand that time frame sometimes now since we are many years down the line and things area different in way of so many aspects. I don't ever want to repeat those terrible things which once happened and it is my goal to do better daily and share the stories so we all can do better.

    He created synthetic cottons which are used in many clothes even today. They should have an entire class just based on his inventions in todays classrooms since so many of the variants we still use in daily life have stemmed from his innovations.

    He did NOT invent peanut butter. Yes, over 300 other things from peanuts, but not peanut butter. I'm a volunteer at this beautiful park.
