That was exactly what I thought the first time I saw a Wolfe Ridge splitter in person at the inaugural Midwest Firewood Frenzy. Saw how good the welds were on the fabricated splitter beam and was sold.
Have you run a good splitter like the 28PRO yet? If not, you'll be saying stuff like "wish I had bought one sooner"! That was my reaction when I first ran my 28C.
Really great to see how it's made, I can't wait to get one of these in the future for more accurate and comfortable splitting. Perfect setup for premium splits.
Really nice machine. Vertical machine be the most comfortable to run. Went got my splitter yesterday. Unfortunately it probably going to have stay on trailer till weekend. Can’t wait to try it out. Nice video. Keep up the good work Wolfe ridge team.
How about a video on the welding process used to make these splitters? Looks like it is gas shielded flux-core to get a good penetration on the thick metal.
Great video, I have a 50 hp TYM tractor. I wonder if you could pick up with the forks using a tractor to show us how easy to maneuver around the wood yard thank you.
You should be able to no problem. We don't have tractor here at the factory but I could certainly make a video showing moving it with our forklift. I would recommend if moving it with forks, to drive very slow and avoid rough terrain / hills. If on rough terrain or hills, use the hitch instead.
Espectacular,un sueño echo realidad seria poder tener una maquina como esta!!,pero donde estan las maquinas de metsa machines?,eres tu bob??,el mismo!!🤔🤔
Hello bob . There are so many splitters I want . I hope to go check put the 17VS soon (Fire wood on the Hill )has one Chris sent him to try out . He is not far from me here in NC . Also want to see the box wedge video you got comming out soon

We could do a video explaining the different processes because there are multiple, and to be honest I'm not sure on which all processes are used yet.
All great stuff, Bob. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks Chris!
Beautiful splitters!
Thank you, the guys here really take pride in what they do!
Love the process.
Can’t beat it.
Thank you Frank!
You should add drawers underneath table to put tools etc in

Matt's a great guy, he also has a 28C Compact Commercial. He's made some really good content with both of those splitters.
Nice job Bob. I would love that electric switch to go full rpm on my Wolfe Ridge 35C. Maybe you guys can do an upgrade?? GW
Unfortunately that switch would not work on the standard gx 390 engine.
@@WolfeRidge. What about my SHO with the GX630 engine?
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood Unfortunately it's only possible on the engines with electronic throttle. So the iGX390, iGX700, and iGX800 you can do it with.
Thanks for watching!
Have you done a video where you show in detail how the wedges are made?
Somebody watching is saying, "Man, I hope that one is mine."
lol yes that would be me! Can’t wait!
@@jbking6376 Congratulations!
Awesome video Bob, have they figured out an upgrade for the little pick up bars on the conveyor?
