CAN A SMALL ADJUSTMENT REALLY MAKE A BIG IMPROVEMENT??

- Its a bit of a farming & fabricating mix, but can a small adjustment to a slurry pump really make a noticeable adjustment in the performance of the pump. We put the two identical pumps together, which one is better??? All this while trying to get the last of the slurry out before the weather breaks again.
High Cathal the splash plate on the back of the tanker needs pulled out straight and those lines should disappear .It’s bent nearly back in itself.Hope this helps.6290 sounds class👍
Thanks Vincent, we done with it for the year but will adjust and leave it right for next year.
Great video again Cathal, put some WD 40 on the clutch pedal please
Thanks Patrick, its very noticeable in the video but not so much in the cab, will have to sort as you not the first to complain. 👍👍
It's not a complaint Cathal, just leaving you know
Not at all Patrick, its typical of the 3000s, squeaky clutch, our 3085 did the same
@@FlyingFergyMan exactly, lovely to see them out doing a few bits
Excellent video, Cathal, that modification is a good idea, haven't seen slurry spread like that in a while, all dribble bar here in West Cork now.
Thanks Gearoid, the small farms here still on the old splash plate but only a matter of time until it is banned and you have to use dribble bar.👍
Good job. Mixer looks better with the additional piece. Dont apologise for the content, its spot on.
Cheers Dave, mixer does appear somewhat better 👍
Nice one Cathal. Few adjustments to the splash plate will sort out the spread pattern. Keep up the good work 👍
Cheers Alan, think I will have to try and set it, but that's us done for this year. Hopefully a wee tweak fix it.
Another great video 👍
Good job you noticed the back arms up
I’m sure to be fixing at least two pump every time slurring starts
It keeps me in work 😂
That’s great drone footage, what one do you use.
Toilet roll 😂😂
It was just going through my head when you said about it lol
The reason for the 2 tracks left behind the tanker is a clear run up the field with the toilet roll when the need arises 😂😂
You don’t need to take your boots off then 🤣🤣
Thanks Philip, Bro is the drone man, its a DJI mini 2. Great minds🤣
Good video i have to agree with you about the 300 series but I like the 100 and 200 series just as much sturdy reliable and simple 🙂
Not everyone is a fan of the 300 series, but as you say, sturdy, reliable and simple. 👍
6290 is a good tractor but the 6400s is my favorite
Thanks Rex, most would have the opinion that 62 was better, interesting that you favor the 64's.👍👍
Great vid today. Just keep them coming what ever it is. O nice touch with the toilet paper!!!!!!!
Thanks Barry, few mid week ones coming up. 👍
@@FlyingFergyMan good man keep them coming!!!!
Great to see all the old masseys still doing there days work great video cathal 👍
Thanks Cliff👍
14:33 can’t disagree at all, 6290s are perfect!
Great machine, do love the 62,s.
I enjoyed the video as I always do , the PTO guard where it meets the pump on the Abby looks a bit iffy... Abby do great stuff, keep up the great videos please.
Thanks Stephen, yes need to give the old PTO guard some attention.👍
The only massey ferguson I have ever liked love a 6290 bet you would love a full set of 62 series massey great video. Thank you . I would like to see a pto guard on the tanker
Thanks Michael, full set of 62's be very nice collection.😃👍
Great video Cathal never drove a 6290 but hear there a great tractor 👍
Thanks Philip, yes great tractor, one of the best for sure👍
Great video
Thanks James👍
The splash plate does not look square with out let nozzle of the tanker. It also might have to be adjusted down more.
If the bolts are loose the splash plate itself will lift. Your spray pattern will be affected then.
Tap it down with a hammer if it has lifted and tighten the bolts.
It could be something else but I'd try those things first.
Thanks I will try and square it up.👍👍
Hiya its not spreading very even .looks like your dad needs to look at that has well.
Can't believe that's your dad he looks so young 😊.
Thanks Abbie, just another job for him to sort lol.
135 best tractor built
Hard to argue against that Carlos.👍
Be wary of the fumes when your welding anything galvanised it’s nasty stuff. Was the 6200 series not the last true Massey designed and built tractors before the amalgamation with agco? I know the first range of 6400 that came after were terrible on comparison to the 6200 series .
Thanks, 1997 MF bought by AGCO just before the 62 series was launched in 1999. I heard 64s were not as good but not sure what the issues were.
We put water in the surry if it's far to think
Yip we poured 1000s of gallons into it, its a bugger to stir, but got it all out in the end.👍👍
You should try slurry bugs, it will break it down
Dad is very handy and has mechanical
Thanks Bob, he is handy for sure.👍
Zetor💪👍😆
There have been a few up our way, but mostly Massey & Ford back in the day.👍
3rd
I thought you were on for 3 for 3 Mike?😃
@@FlyingFergyMan reset the counter and go again
@@78mikehayes must still be busy driving your 1200 🤷♂️😂👍

Pipped to the post by Eamon Harry.😃
First???
Good man Eamon.👍👍
Interesting video 👍 your Dad not short of ideas to improve things 💪 hope you get some rain wash the slurry in and get another cut 👌 only Massey I could compare the 6290 to would be the 2680 for power no electronics but brilliant tractor 💪💪👍
Thanks Bob, would love a 2000 series for the collection, maybe some day!!!! Used to have a britians 2680 as a kid. Have it in the attic somewhere.
