Necromancer is so unbelievably fun. I don't know how good they are anymore but they were always broken OP when I played. WoW managed to steal all the other classes but they never ever managed to get a version of the Necromancer that was remotely as fun to play as the EQ version.... Probably because it was broken imbalanced and can solo reds for stupid piles of plat. Dead man Floating ruined me forever. My feet are too good to touch the ground like a filthy commoner!
If played properly warlocks on vanilla worked similar to necro(dot>fear>choose another target>dot>fear), enchanters on the other hand is totally unique, I mean, priests did have mind control, but the only use it had was for pvp and in very specific situations like your enemy is close to a cliff.

It’s fun at low levels. I never took one past level 30.
The levitation skill is one of the coolest spells ever.

I guess I died. Couldn’t find my body so I assumed it decayed.
Don't you get less exp per kill if the pet does all the damage?
