I tried so hard to shut your ears, but it was impossible. One of your most brilliant episodes, and I have listend all of them. I am also a Spanish listener. A full one, not half like the previous guy. I'm writing from Sevilla. And I think there is a calle Silvestre here in the capital of Andalucia in honor of our incompetent hero and his colourful moustache.

Amazigh are in fact extremely hospitable. Most nomadic and mountain cultures consider hospitality one of the core human values. What you mean by inhospitable is "not keen on being imposed on by foreigners"

I always find ironic that Spain is so adamant about wanting Gibraltar back while using the British argument for not giving Ceuta and Melilla back to Morocco.

Ceuta and Melilla were part of the Spanish Monarchy long before, centuries before any marrocan country existed. Gibraltar was spanish and was taken by force by the english. That's the difference.

The difference is that in the case of Ceuta and melilla these cities never belonged to Morocco and gibraltar was taken from Spain without being noticed during the war of spanish sucession

My grandfather was military comandar of Spanish morocco. He repeatedly críticized the state of the army there. No one should be offended by the truth

The funny thing is most Rifians, inhabitants of the Rif region are white.

If Morocco was preyed upon as you say, it may have had something to do with them launching countless raids on the spanish and portuguese coasts after the Reconquista was finished. The Morisco Raids were launched from moroccan ports. Thats why both Ceuta and Melilla were conquered, as watchposts against the corsairs.

    • @ColonelFluffles

And the Spanish and Portuguese never launched raids unto north Africa? Heck, Portugal even launched a full Crusade in order to conquer and Christianize Morocco. What are you even implying? That the Spaniards and Portuguese were completely innocent and only defended themselves when conquering north Africa? Hh please stop teasing us like that! That's not how history and politics work my guy...

@@Roguesquadroon haha, yh the Dutch aren't innocent either. But you gotta admit, the reconquista is just a conquest like any other. It's only a religious reconquest
