I have a friend who mainly plays trickstars so I know the horrors of this deck well. Seeing them pop C on just the field card play was the ultimate "now you fucked up" moment.
damm i definetly didnt know that you can summon multiple lycoris on chain of returning only one card to hand, that is really interesting im learning a lot about trickstar by seeing you, really thank you for the great content and keep going this amazing job.

@@dapperghastmeowregard I mean that can still happen in this game as well, it just a bit more finicky on what is able and not able. I was dueling against a Superheavy Samurai deck and they used a card that uses their tuner and one of my monsters for a Synchro summon, they targeted my Junk Gardner, so I had to use it's effect to target their Superheavy Samurai in an attempt for them to use Flutist's effect which negates and destroys, preventing the Synchro summon.
Yup. And that amount of trickstar decks that were around on devpro I think it was called when vrains first came out was insane. Then things got limited but it's still a good deck, and puts up a fight.
This deck can get super ridiculous if you also make it a control deck on top of all the burn damage you can do. Level Limit Area B can stop a lot of decks cold, along with Gravity Bind in tow. If all else fails, Messanger of Peace will keep out a lot of the big monsters. Add in Chain Energy and Toll, and it forces your opponent to pay up 500 LP for each card played and to attack, respectively. Add in something like Solemn Wishes to keep yourself topped off with 500 LP gained per draw to keep you alive and Dark Room of Nightmares to enhance the damage, you can give them a case of DEEP HURTING.
Back in the Arc-V master rules I used a trickstar/self heal/ Dark Nurse deck and managed to deal like almost half of the enemy's health in a tag duel. This was in Duel Nexus where Maxx C wasn't even a problem yet so you can probably get a lot of cheese win with trickstars in the DM meta game
THis just shows how it punishes a stupid player, the deck can't burn you out in a otk like that naturally. It can banish your entire hand if it gets incredibly lucky.
You know, even if you don't know Trickstar and this is your first time encountering them, the moment the field spell comes out and mentions burn damage that should be a good enough warning to think if playing Maxx C is a bad idea
How would you think Maxx "C" is a bad idea with just the field spell being played? It's Lycoris that mentions burning your opponent every time they draw a card. Your logic is flawed.
The funny thing is when you get as far as the combo can take you and your opponent still has LPs but quits even though at this point they've drawn half their deck and could probably play through and still win.
If you had summoned Holly Angel into the right EMZ instead of the left one you could have save the second Lycoris for a bit more burn, as then you would be able to us the Trickster that you summoned in def for another Bloom.

You shouldn't wildly throw out maxx "c" anyway. I usually wait until an effect that ss a monster is being activated to use it. Sure it backfires sometimes. but the risk is worth it when you can get the effect to stop your opponent's turn and net yourself a replacement card.
The archetype of "Trickstars" r so very fucking filthy which must be forbidden. Actually I just realized that "Trickstar Reincarnation" is the only fucking filthy card of the archetype only if it's not activated when the opponent has a full hand.
You could have ended your turn and let him wipe himself out drawing his first card. Somehow, that feels like the ultimate disrespect to let him make the move that ends him while knowing what will happen.
I mean as long as you survive you pretty much guaranteed victory. Happened to me. Just hope that they dont get crazy lucky starting hand and make sure you have hand interruptions.
A lot of people like to throw out their maxx c way too randomly, like whats the point in chaining it to your field spell? It just gives you a heads up.

hey there i hve a question, since i just began playing yugioh again. When you have holly angel on the field and summon lycoris where the arrow from holly angel shows, it inflicts 200 damage (holly angel effect)... but if you have another lycoris on your hand, couldnt you keep special summoning lycoris for taking the other lycoris back to your hand over and over again in just one turn and damaging the enemy for everytime 200 till his lp are on 0?
@@cesar6447 you can even summon all three of you have them, also as a side note candina isn’t a hard once per turn so if you have a way to return her to hand and a way to get multiple normal summons (double summon, chain summon) you can get more then one search

It's a combo that is shown in the anime, it's not necessarily intuitive but indeed it works

Reincarnation isn’t a major win condition, it certainly helps with otk but isn’t necessary, and limited stage just hampers consistency.
It is weaker but all Yu-Gi-Oh players need the heart of the cards to win their games. This game was lucky with light stage in hand
