This is U of T: Dr. Toni Zhong on Reconstructing Hope

Meet Dr. Toni Zhong, Assistant Professor at University of Toronto’s Department of Surgery and a Plastic Surgeon specializing in reconstruction within the University Health Network. Her work has taken her across the world to help burn victims in Bangladesh. In Toronto, her focus is on working with breast cancer survivors.
“I think hope is all around us and that’s what drives us,” Zhong tells U of T videographer Lisa Lightbourn, who documents how she mentors, leads and reconstructs hope of a better life for her patients.
