No the reality show contract that they were talking about was made because of the Sing Off. Most singing competitions form a contract with the top x (it differs) number of contestants so that they can't release an album, song, etc for a given period of time. So basically when Pentatonix won the Sing Off the contract automatically signed them with a producing company, and the company decided to drop them thus breaking them out of that part of the contract...which gave Pentatonix the freedom to create, and eventually sign with a new agency. Hope that made sense. :)
