Love your tenacity for these big projects and your workarounds - plus your honesty re happy accidents etc💜😊✌️👍 I use my Greenstuff World, sponge weathering stick for jobs like adding texture to wagon roofs etc.😊👍
Stunning work as always Kathy! Still having trouble with fumes and dust from your spraying? Do you know what replacement air is? If you put a fan in a window to blow air out and you don't open another window to allow 'replacement air' into the room in sufficient quantities to allow for what the fan is attempting to eject; well then the fan cannot expel the air. Fan power or volume of airflow is cancelled by the inability of the fan to suck from a closed container. It's the same reason you can pick water up with a straw by covering one end after submerging it in the water; it cannot escape because the replacement air needed to evacuate the straw is not allowed to enter. Restaurants with large kitchen hoods actually use fans to force 'replacement air' into the building so they can open the outside doors. I think the fume extractor problems you are having are caused by not enough replacement air being available for the fans to work effectively. Just my thoughts; I hope it help. :)
Interesting thoughts! I think the main problem with this was that spray cans put out so much volume of paint particulate, they just overwhelm my airbrush booth. My room now has a fine coating of dust. Sadly my spray room doesn’t have any opening windows.
@@KathyMillatt I wasn't actually referring to this time particularly, but I noticed in going through some of your previous feeds that you mention it more than a little. Crock the door to the windowless cavern and just run the vent to see what happens. If it swings in and it's only open a crack it would open the door wider if it needs more airflow. If it swings out it will suck the door closed if it needs more air. It's a simple experiment which cost next to nothing but may reveal a lot. You don't need to be painting to test this out. Hope it helps Kathy; cheers! :)
These look really good! I still haven't gotten around to printing anything from the first set, but will have to back these as well. I think your designs have been getting better with each set.
I used to love building buildings from scratch with card and foam core. 3D printing really changed the whole terrain world eh? Your stuff looks great, thanks for posting 🔥
Awesome models and paint job👍🏻🤩 A few of them could even be used for H0 scale (maybe with a few modifications here and there, but still...).😊 Well, if I only had space for it - and a 3D printer...🙄🙃😅 Good luck with your new Kickstarter! Cheers - Ralf🍀👋🏻
Epic project and it's looking great. When I first saw the thumbnail through slightly out-of-focus eyes I thought there was an American-style steam train on the left!
For the windows have you ever considered painting a reflected image of the city around it? Maybe a blurry rendition of a dark street? Your execution is great, just curious. Thanks for posting! 🔥
I've only just discovered this channel I love watching the process and those models look amazing. I gotta ask, what halfords primers do you recommend and also where did you get the spray putty?
I use Halfords grey, their yellow filler primer and the red oxide for the colours. I also use their Matt black a lot. I get Motip spray putty on Amazon or wherever I can find it cheaper online.
Really enjoy all your work. Great talent. But I have one problem with the Star Wars universe. They mastered light speed and colonizing other planets but haven’t invented the railing yet. Not on stairs, bridges or platforms. What’s wrong with these people. Don’t they have building codes in the future?
Gorgeous!!! Love all of the buildings and details 😊😊😊
Thanks so much! 😊
@@KathyMillatt you are welcome 🤗
I consider your crafting channel one of the best! Your original design work is outstanding.
Wow, thank you!
The pop it paint palette is fantastic 👌🏻
It’s so useful!
Thanks Kathy.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the spilled paint technique. Finally a tip I can use!
Glad to help!
Amazing work as always. I wish you a great success with your upcoming kickstarter. You are a true legend.
Thank you very much!
Great looking set pieces Kathy, you make it all look so easy.
Thanks so much 😊
Great work. Amazing.
Awesome information and ideas.

Great work Kathy.
The space port looks fantastic once painted up on your personal style.
Good luck with the kickstarter.

@@thornhedge9639 I will definitely try that next time - thank you!

Glad you like them - I am certainly learning a lot with each Kickstarter.
Gorgeous work Kathy!

Great work as always Kathy 👍
Thank you so much 😃
Hi Kathy whatever happened to your train builds loved watching you do them 😢 all the best Bob from New Zealand
@@bobpaterson528 I did them for 20 years and it was time to try a new adventure!
Hi Kathy, I enjoyed your video and learned a lot - and I don't even paint 😜😁
Good luck with the Kickstarter campaign 🍀😘
Thanks so much! 😊

Once you go down the 3D printing route, it takes over and you end up 3D printing everything!

Thanks! You can definitely repurpose these for a range of other scales and locations.

That would be funny!
I found masking tape with paper on it by the roll on Amazon. Really enjoying that.
Oooh. That sounds useful.
Did you stick a weathering/chipping sponge into the end of a piece of PVC pipe as a handle? BRILLIANT!!!
I bought it like this but that’s exactly what it is. 😁

That would be cool! Not sure my skills are up to it though.

@@KathyMillattthank you so much. I've used halfords grey before and it's brilliant but I've been apprehensive to try the others.
I really don’t recommend the white but the others have been fine.
Just watch out for pint-sized furry critters with bows and spears... they can really put a crimp in an Imperial spaceport commanders day. ;P
I should have done some fences to keep them out…
