What Minolta cameras do you have? Comment them down below 👇🏼 and drop a like for the #minoltagang!!
XD-11 (its very underated)
Minolta x70!!!!!!!!
Maxxim 400 SI
Maxxum 700si and 7000 AF, still working great!
XE-5
I had a LOT of cameras several years ago, and I slowly, methodically sold them off one at a time until I was left with the one I treasured most - my Minolta X-700!
The x700 was my first camera, and my dad gave his to me on my 14th birthday. It's my most valuable camera for sentimental reasons alone
@@sethmacdonald5725 I can imagine!
Started with an X700 as my first 35mm camera, later on picked up an a7 and it’s my go-to camera for…everything, I know it’s gonna give me exactly what I want.
Fine Trader Joe’s camera bag! Fun video and the images look great!
I'm glad that you have the alpha 7 back! The feels and the built of this camera is amazing and the lenses are great as well! I still have one and will bring mine to my Channel Islands trip next week!
I started back on Minolta this summer after purchasing my first Minolta back in 1998 - The Dynax 700si. I have recently bought the Dynax 9 and this camera the 7. Just £100 for the 7 from a decent used camera store here in the UK who test everything. They are very advanced SLR's. The feature I love on the 7 is the scene illumination display. You frame, dial in exposure and press AEL and DISP at the same time and you have on the back a kind of early histogram, that shows what each 14 segment honeycomb of the meter is reading out. Really useful if shooting slides as it shows what might blow out and what will block out. So cool. I feel the 7 has the ergonomics to a tee, the 9 feels somewhat clumsy and heavy. Haven't tried the beer can lens but I've heard great things about it.
I got a Minolta Maxxim 400 si from my uncle, I ran a role of Cinestill XX through it and loved what I got. I was thinking of making it my film portrait camera. I was gonna order the beer can lens but then I got distracted by medium format cameras. I scan my own 35’s so instead of investing in a Bronica I might get the beer can and another 85 lens for it and try it out. Especially for street portraits
You are a brave man. I got a great shot of the skyline 3 years ago before they started with all the fencing.
Love the music! I made a video two weeks ago with the same first two tracks lol.
I have my dad’s Minolta XG-1. The most interesting lens I’ve used was the Minolta 35mm shift lens. Love all the SRT cameras.
I just today got a lens very similar to that for my Canon A-1. Off eBay for $6! I shot Mirandas way back when I was a teenager, and bought another one around 2000. Which I no longer own, but I'm thinking about getting another one.
I never used Minoltas (except for the early Hi-Matics - just got another one of those - but my sister shot Minoltas before switching to Nikons. I'm a straight-up Canon guy.
I love your videos. Those and ANALOG INSIGHTS are my favorites. Don't ever stop!
I still have my Minolta Maxxum 7 and 7D. But I haven't used either in a long time. I feel your nostalgic love. They were the first DSLR cameras I ever owned. Now I'm a Sony guy. NEX 7, A6500 and A7RIII. It was a natural transition in a lot of ways.

7 D as in Delta
Very vibe as usual,i have been watching the channel from 2020.Street photographers are people who don't know what to capture lol,but it was fun.
My Minoltas: SRT-201, Maxxum 400si and Hi-Matic AF2. My very first Minolta (40+ years ago) was the SRT-100, bought new. I loved that camera. Took great kiddos pix for years always with Tri-X and Ektachrome. It disappeared. How? Don't know. The 201 is fairly new to me and has "replaced" the SRT-100 hole in my soul. Just helped my son-in-law purchase a Minolta A7 -- his first film camera. I may have to acquire one. Amazing rig. #minoltagang!!!
I did purchase an a7. Absolutely amazing camera. My favorite rig. Love to shoot with it!
Minolta Maxxum 7000 was my very first film camera. Minolta A7 is likely the best camera you can get for its price all things considered
Can’t wait to see more Minolta videos! Please do one on the Minolta srt101 if you can!
You got it :)
@@KingJvpes :D
I became part of Minolta Gang cause of your videos. Now I own 4 different Minoltas 😅
Good choice on the beercan! I love mine
Alpha was actually Minolta's brand name in Japan for the Maxxum 35mm film cameras, Sony got the Alpha brand name when they purchased the Konica Minolta camera lines.
This is such an amazing camera on paper.. but I've read it tends to suffer from a plastic gear that commands the aperture breaking down. The repair is possible but hard, and requires spares that are not the easiest to find. I wished to buy this camera so much but now i feel skeptical. Any thoughts on this?
Only one Minolta camera right now but I bought it because of this channel. It's the X700. I plan on getting more but I'm still learning. Thanks for this video, it was a good one and I loved the lens on that thing. #minoltagang
Always try to get anything Minolta when I’m thrifting. is there a shop that repairs point and shoots?
I would love to meet with you Jon! I own several Minolta cameras and lenses. The A-9 being my go-to.
you literally can't beat the 1/12000th shutter on that thing! its been my favorite camera so far
I just found a minolta xd11 with a 50 1.4 rokkor lens I've put about 4 tolls of 35 threw it and I absolutely love how easy it is to shoot and how amazing the image quailty and image vibe is just fire. I want to bring it everywhere with me and shoot it all the time but you know... film. Pricey and getting it developed cost and cost im going to invest in a dev kit to process my own film at the rate I was shooting 120 and 35 I could have bought three full kits
I have the SR 7, SRT 201, and X700. The SRT 201 is my favorite.😀
The Minolta A7 is a beautiful advanced camera, however I've two of then and both died of electronic failures. For that Generation the Minolta A9 is way more reliable:)
Picked up a Maxxum 650si today in like new condition for $20!!! This thing is sweet
I hope the aperture motor gear doesnt break!!!! These things are time bombs sadly
X370, X700 and SRT101.
Used to shoot with 5000i then 8000i with the "secret handshake" 28-135. Last time I checked the 8000i is still functional.
I wish on my trip to S.F. I used a very long lens! 200 or 300m maybe with tele-x-tender! It needs compression. Those steep hills! Thought if I drop lens, not gonna see it again! Show more images! Good work.
How soon did yours break? Lol I got two shots out of mine. Aperture gear issue.
My first film camera is Samsung minolta x700, well used but sold it after all. But I buy a new one this year😊
dood, you got to take the minolta CLE and the 40mm summicron at some point. It would be a fitting setup for you channel!
shoutout to the goat Gable!
Finding a Minolta maxiim 7000i in a closet is why I came to your channel
You should do a video on that camera lol
The memories I had with camera until it broke 😭😭. I got it for so cheap and now the price has SPIKED!!!
The Minolta alpha/dynax/maxxum 7 is a great camera. I'm a Nikon user but back in the day (90's and early 00's), I used a 7xi. Now roll on 30 years later along with my Nikon collection that includes 2 F3's, 2 F4' and a F6, I still like and use Minolta autofocus cameras including 3 Dynax ( I'm in the UK ) 7's and they are on par if not better in a lot of ways than the F6 which is better mainly because its a better built cameras but Nikon has a bigger glass range that is compatible. As for built quality I also have a non ssm Dynax 9, now that's a camera.
my minoltas: XG-2 (my first one), Dynax 7000i (found it at a local thrift store for 10€, had to get it. also i got like 6 lenses for free online lol), Hi-Matic 7sII (my cheap leica) #minoltagang
No please bruv...dont let the world find out about minolta af cameras. It'll go up in price. Im a true minolta connoisseur. Been collecting lenses since 2018. Literally just picked up an 800mm mirror af lens for 50 bucks. I own too many lenses but my favourite ones are the 85 1.4, 50 1.4, 24 2.8. For cameras, i own 807si, a9000, 7xi, a9 and 7D. I've always wanted to get the a7 but its super rare in my country. I also have a few sony amount bodies which take minolta lenses such as the sony a900, A100 and a99. This entire system is a bliss to use and i will always love each and everyone of them. Oh and i love minolta lenses cuz their colour reproduction is extremely beautiful.
Was that Google street view behind you at 8:05?
Bought a Minolta x370 and damn it was a great camera to carry one day it started to skip frames and then bam died out on the last shot 😢 need another one
I studied photography at college here in the UK with the European Market version, the X300, well X300s actually which was equivalent to the U.S. X370n (AE lock/self timer, on a button on the front plate next to the lens). Very handy camera to carry, quiet, slick and effective. A bit of a sleeper at the moment as everyone wants the older and higher spec versions.
I'm a Minolta hoarder 😂
X-500 (my 700 died and the 500 is arguably better)
Two X-9s
Riva Zoom 90
Dynax 4, 5, 800si and the 7
(Plus a couple of broken X series I'm trying to bring back to life)
The 7 is a beast. Probably far too complex for its own good but hits every single time. Looking forward to seeing more content from you with this camera!

MINOLTA HEADS UNITES.
X-700 and alpha 9
I been shooting my minolta X-700 only from 1987 to present then in 2020 I Picked up the minolta alpha 9 af 35mm film camera.
Then in 2023 my first digital camera the sony a77ii so I could use all my minolta af a-mount glass.
Thinking about getting the minolta alpha 7 and the minolta alpha 7D next along with getting more minolta white G lenses.
Minolta also makes amazing range finders
Some minolta glass is leica glass especially for the rangefinder
I also use an XD-11
@@ericespinal9961 i have one it goes for like 600 dollars
I don’t understand why your pictures are overexposed. Is that the way the film looks or is it the way you edit the pictures?
I think he has said in the past that he over exposes portra 400 by 1 stop cause he likes the look of it. Gives it a nice creaminess.
@@evanhansberry7856 I thought negative film is overexposed to be able to save the shadow details.
Shout out to my Minolta XG-M!!!
I have a Minolta 5000 with the beercan I'm going to be using at my sis-in-laws wedding in the Philippines soon
You probably did the research but you have to be careful when shutting the back and breaking the latch on the film canister if the opening is pointing upwards.
Soundtrack is bussin
Let’s goooooo
Who's the artist?
When u goin to NY?? Would love to shoot with u
I'm mostly in the older minolta line, i have the srt 202, x-700 and the XE.. i would be curious to try later models like this one. But i do not want to start a new lens mount. I can be pretty excessive when i buy gear. So far i have 3 system. The Minolta mc/md, Pentax k and M42. I looking to get at least one digital camera for possible gigs with a friend.
Adapt and use your m42 lenses 👌🏻
Deadass, my Minolta has been my go-to for professional portraits. It's honestly super reliable! Great images, per usual!
yoo bro the music you used in the vid is good! can we know the name of the songs?
Damn prices for the minolta a7/a9 are really about to blow up now 😭
Just want to say you are really one of the best in terms of compositions and capturing scenes! Keep up the good work!
Minolta srt101 !
Minolta srt 200, HiMatic AF2, SR1, HiMatic 7s
Is there any chance to change language to english on Alpha 7?
Yes. I did it on mine that I bought out of Japan. A bit of interpreting and guessing the correct menu. Of course, later the aperture drive gear crapped out on mine, so now it doesn't work.
@@MarksPhoto that's good to know, I'd like to have some alpha models in collection. All I have now are Dynax models + incoming X570 which is meant for NA market.
I love minolta
Maxxum 7 x2
Minolta x700 x2
Minolta xd-11
Minolta SR 101
really nice video, thanks a lot
Welcome home to Minolta land, wayward one. The 7 is about the only Minolta not in my collection...
It’s the minolta _alpha_ 7 camera.
I read that the Minolta brand is being sold in Far East. Sure it's Sony, but in reality that 'Menu' pure Minolta. I use one! It's horrible, the Menu. My main digital camera for BW/ Monochrome! G-600. I have lots of Minolta film camera.. X-700 newest. same flare as my Leitz lenses!
It's funny, but yesterday I was looking at my alpha 7 and lenses and thinking I'll sell it, and now this, lol. It's actually too sophisticated fir my pea brain. I've hardly used it, so on sale it goes.
