It's funny because as a child I would try to play these songs and just couldn't keep up...but through that training, by the time I was playing in punk bands, I was twice as fast as any of the other drummers in my scene 😆 Excellent work

I was never a fan of the way over the top speed Ramones adopted in their later stages. I have read that Johnny wanted it that way so they could play more songs in one go. It ruins the feel of the songs and Joey also struggled at times singing in that fast tempo. I saw a clip from their last gig playing Love Kills. Dee Dee couldn't keep up, so he gave up in the end.
Man, I'm a fan of the Ramones live, the energy and the sound wall, it's brutal! But I understand what you mean! I love the studio albums too! RAMONES FOREVER! ❤️
