Might be a silly question but… does a sheer descent need to be bonded?

If it's metal then yes - If it's plastic then no.

Hi Mike, Who is the manufacturer of the rain waterfall units you are using here? I see there are many sheer waterfalls makers but not many rain waterfall makers. I found this one LRWF36-45 at ace pools. Im looking for one with an LED light.

Hoping you can help me... I have bought a rainfall but it blocks on the two sides. Any idea of the best way to unblock it?

You need to put a filter on your pump to avoid this - not sure how you would unblock it now. Best to talk to a service person, not a designer.

MIke, What is the height of the wall where you have the rain fall sheer descent? I am planning to use a 3ft rainfall sheer descent. I aslo plan to leave say 6" to 1ft on either side of the Rain descent. Thanks.

hello, thank you for this video. I was planning to use sheer descents on my pool, but after watching your video I think that may not work for me as my retaining wall I was planning to install the waterfalls on is not directly over the pool, rather then 1 foot away, it begins right outside of coping, It looks like the sheet descent may not give me enough of the arch to go over the coping and the rainfall will. Could you confirm my assumption please? Also any recommendation where to purchase rainfall waterfalls from?
    Thanks
    Alex

It will work 1 foot away if the wall is tall enough. The arc also will be determined by water pressure. Where you are located will determine where you can purchase them.

hi mike, which rain water fall did you use, my raised bond beam will be 4' high and I'm worried about extreme tapering with a sheer rather than the rain. Does the lip size matter? Can these be installed after shotcrete. Thx I'm in ca.

Use Jandy or custom cascade by oreq. Lip sizes based on the veneer on the face of the wall. If it’s stone you need a 6 inch extender the lip if it’s tile you don’t need an extended lip. These can be installed with Shotcrete no problem. Where in California

In chino hills, our raised bond beam is going to also be retaining wall at 4' high and will be shotcrete. I guess I was thinking the wall will be more than 6" thick and I need a bigger lip, but I guess they can notch it out if I need a few inches. Pool width is 20' with two 24" columns with fire pods. I was thinking about two 4' rain sheers or three 3' rain sheers . Any thoughts? Any particular one from Jandy, I saw part 1603cbf and 1203csr in the three foot rain, need to figure out difference. I was considering something that has led lights but appears I need more than just a lighted waterfall. Thx for any assistance. Local place told me 3-5 weeks too, trying to find something quicker

Rain fall is way too loud and noisy. After a while it would get annoying.
