'It was a scramble,' says Manitoba mom caring for son with disabilities during evacuation

Northwestern Manitoba residents who were forced to evacuate the area around Cranberry Portage due to a massive wildfire have been told they can return home as early as Sunday. Heather Murray, an evacuee, says her son’s wheelchair had been sent for repairs, and she had to ‘lay him down from the bed onto a blanket’ with the help of her daughter to evacuate.
