- Commuters in the London tube chant 'Free Palestine' together on Saturday 28 October. This happened after a tube driver was suspended because of initiating the same chant that is commonly used in pro-Palestine protest worldwide over the tube train public announcement system.

@@Snakmunthe uk has a nuclear option we in the US don't. The King through reserve powers can dissolve the entire government, and call for elections, and remove every single mp. However, this is only to be activated when the government turns against their own people. Because constitutionally it is technically legal for the King to prorogue parliament indefinitely and rule directly as the Prerogative powers are vast. But that isn't sustainable forever, he'd need a new government created.

The whole situation is awful, but why do Palestinians claim it's wrong and horrible that Israel is (according to them) dropping bombs recklessly and killing civilians now, when Palestine has been doing the same or arguably worse, for years? Palestine has been deliberately firing thousands of rockets indiscriminately at Israeli civilians (men, women & children), with the intention to kill them, for years. Yet they think it's ok when they do it.
The main difference is that Israel was able to develop a complex, technologically advanced, and hugely expensive and difficult to maintain system (the iron dome) to help intercept a lot of the rockets Palestinians fire at them... And without that system, the Israelis would have been obliterated by now.
And it sure doesn't help Palestinian civilians that Hamas purposely uses them like human shields by deliberately hiding beneath/inside/near hospitals, schools, mosques, homes, and residential areas... I mean, it does help their cause by making it very difficult for Israel to attack their enemies without hitting civilians, thereby helping to make them look bad to the world. I'm sure this is part of Hamas' strategy, and honestly it seems to be working pretty well so far.

And if Israel had seen that they were really looking for a good life, Israel would have helped them develop Gaza in all areas. But they preferred other ways just because of ego And respect.
