This game was genius.. The best simulation of asymmetric warfare that I have ever played. Two completely different sides. Tons of different ways to play. Very novel implementation of support, politics, morale, and air power. Excellent game.
I got this when it came out. I think I was fifteen. Never got past the second scenario. Still have it. This is on my list of games I will play in my retirement, that is if I can find a willing opponent.

Excellent review, tutorial or introduction to the game. I recommend anyone to watch this! I just bought the game cheaply on our local ebay (without rules and tables, so basically the VASSAL-setup). I borrowed the game from a friend in high school back in the 80´s and been wanting to get a copy since then. Probably never will play it, but its a really cool game. I would hope someone would develop a PC game (with AI opponent) one day. Fingers crossed. Thanks for your excellent guide guide here!
Ahh, yes the Vietnam War in....1695? Tories and Roundheads vs. Viet Cong. The Armies of the French Sun King at Dien Ben Phu. The Mohican Indians making their last stand at Saigon. Truly an underrepresented era of warfare.

I love Christmas of 1987 as I got this cool game. Was to difficult for us to learn though, at least back then.
The map is awesome. I tried to play as a kid but couldnt understand it. I loved that the whole OOB for the US was there

What's the approximate playing time for the scenarios? Other than the campaign
Quickest one can be half an hour, longest scenario is around three hours.
Still have an unpunched issue of this game.
