Very nostalgic memories. I have also spent around 10 years in Bombay. It was the 80s era. We were also movie buffs. The cinema halls were a great attraction n we used to dress up well n go there all excited. I remember we used to see many movies at Gaity, Galaxy, Gemini in Bandra n also Bandra Talkies n New Talkies. Then Ambar, Oscar, Minor in Andheri. Wonder whether these halls are still there or not. A few years ago when I visited Mumbai New Talkies had been broken down n in its place a mall had come up.
80s me to filmo ke posters aur hoardings lagbhag har railway stations , bus stands aur lagbhag sabhi popular places me lagte the aur mai inhi posters ko hi dekh ker decide karta tha kaun si film dekhni hai kaun si nahi. ye yaaden bahut hi khas hai.
In the UK watching movies is a very solitary experience. I was in Karachi once and went with my cousins to watch "Jeeva" - brilliant film- experience totally different. When the songs came on the volume of the speakers went up & the whole audience became animated. Great buzz.

Hi Jamie Sir, Aapne toh nostalgic kar dia. Main apna experience aapse share karta hu. Main born and raised hu Nirmal area se jo Nalasopara West mein aata hai. Main 1990 mein born hua. Theater nazdeek koi nahi tha. Vasai area jo ghar se 10 KM ki doori par tha vaha KT Vision aur Parvati theater hua karte thay par mujhe mauka ekdum bachpan mei vaha jaaneka mila nahi. Mere mom side family tab Santacruz mein thay so mujhe yaad hai specifically jab mai 5 years ka tha tab Trimurti and Akele hum Akele tum Gaiety Galaxy mein dekha tha. Fir saal 2000 mein mujhe yaad hai ke Main, meri aunty aur sisters fir se Gaiety Galaxy gaye thay Stuart Little dekhne. Tab hum Mira rd se Bandra gye thay as Mom side family tab Mira rd shift ho gye thay. Stuart Little ka show tha 2 baje ka. Hum pohche 12 baje par show tha housefull. Ab kya kare? Aaye hai , kuch toh dekh le ...toh dekha ke Gemini mein Hera Pheri lagi hai. 3.30 show. Aur woh b fast filling. Humne aunty se kaha chalo yehi dekhte hai please. Woh alag baat hai ke Hera Pheri already humne 4-5 baar cable mei he dekh li thi lekin theater vaali mazaa he kuch aur thi. Fir uske baad 2003 mein Mai meri family aur humaare neighbours Koi Mil Gaya dekhne gye thay Vasai ke KT Vision theater mei. Fir 2005 mein Mira road mein Cinemax (jo tab Cine Prime tha) vaha Bunty aur Babli aur Randeep Hooda ki D movie dekhi thi. Fir 2006 mei Nalasopara mein b theater open hua Fun Fiesta and uske baad toh cinema dekhte he gya. Sach mein kaafi acche din thay...
DDLJ , Andaj apna apna , Agnisakshi , Hum aapke hain koun , and many more . Tu har baar rula deta hain phir bhi tumhari naye video ki raah dekha hu . God bless you stay safe .

Great video. Thanks for the same. It is so nostalgic. I had also watched movies in the Gaity-Galaxy cinema (which was later named G7, as the complex has 7 theaters) in Bandra. I also remember watching 'Titanic' in Regal and 'Ghayal' in Maratha Mandir in the year 1998. Bombay/ Mumbai has many great cinema halls, even those of the multiplexes. Some can easily compete with the best of the world, including the US. Tell us more about your old days in Bombay and how the life was during those times.
In AUGUST....1990....I HAVE WATCHED THREE MOVIE 🎥 IN A ROW ....? ONE AFTER ANOTHER...GIETY , GALAXY....GEM.....(AASHIQUI, SHER DIL , & KAARNAMA..... it's strange & bizzare... Not for me...but my accompanied friend.....

Loved to remember all childhood memories during intermission in old cinema, really missing the special kind of noise created by bottle openers while selling the cold drinks to fascinate people to purchase those cold drinks.Love to hear that sound if possible...,... please in any of your next video 🙏🙏
Jamie bhai...apne channel ka naam badal ke yaadon ka pitara rakh do...coz you always manage to bring out a smile to our faces by taking us down memory lane.....It's really strange how much the world has changed. I still remember long lines for that 5 and 10 rs tickets...that feeling of coolness and comfort when you entered the large, dark halls from the blazing sunlight outside with the huge screens in front, action and music and larger than life heroes and how the audience used to participate in the movies with people cheering, making loud comments and even dancing etc....Also how halls would go housefull for some of the hit pictures and on many first days, the hall near my house would oversell tickets and people would even be sitting in the staircase between the seats etc. Those days are long gone, but still bring a smile to my face. Movie watching is still alive in India but is more sanitized and sophisticated than those days...

Hi Jamie Sir,
Aapne toh nostalgic kar dia.
Main apna experience aapse share karta hu.
Main born and raised hu Nirmal area se jo Nalasopara West mein aata hai.
Main 1990 mein born hua.
Theater nazdeek koi nahi tha. Vasai area jo ghar se 10 KM ki doori par tha vaha KT Vision aur Parvati theater hua karte thay par mujhe mauka ekdum bachpan mei vaha jaaneka mila nahi.
Mere mom side family tab Santacruz mein thay so mujhe yaad hai specifically jab mai 5 years ka tha tab Trimurti and Akele hum Akele tum Gaiety Galaxy mein dekha tha.
Fir saal 2000 mein mujhe yaad hai ke Main, meri aunty aur sisters fir se Gaiety Galaxy gaye thay Stuart Little dekhne. Tab hum Mira rd se Bandra gye thay as Mom side family tab Mira rd shift ho gye thay. Stuart Little ka show tha 2 baje ka. Hum pohche 12 baje par show tha housefull. Ab kya kare? Aaye hai , kuch toh dekh le ...toh dekha ke Gemini mein Hera Pheri lagi hai. 3.30 show. Aur woh b fast filling. Humne aunty se kaha chalo yehi dekhte hai please. Woh alag baat hai ke Hera Pheri already humne 4-5 baar cable mei he dekh li thi lekin theater vaali mazaa he kuch aur thi.
Fir uske baad 2003 mein Mai meri family aur humaare neighbours Koi Mil Gaya dekhne gye thay Vasai ke KT Vision theater mei.
Fir 2005 mein Mira road mein Cinemax (jo tab Cine Prime tha) vaha Bunty aur Babli aur Randeep Hooda ki D movie dekhi thi.
Fir 2006 mei Nalasopara mein b theater open hua Fun Fiesta and uske baad toh cinema dekhte he gya.
Sach mein kaafi acche din thay...
The way of your story telling is great,👌
DDLJ , Andaj apna apna , Agnisakshi , Hum aapke hain koun , and many more . Tu har baar rula deta hain phir bhi tumhari naye video ki raah dekha hu . God bless you stay safe .

Hum bi 90s ke jamane ke hai hamari yaade taaza ho gayi bhohat hi badiya
Vijay Sir Titanic Hindi dubbed thi ya English me plz reply
Ab to 80s wala Bollywood nahi raha ......aapke pitaaji " TOM ALTER " , ak bahut hi behtarin kalakar the ,ab wo purana or saaf suthara Bollywood nahi rha ....🙏🙏

Mujhe Bhi Apne bachpan ki yaden Yad a Gai aapki baten sunkar👌👍💔❣💟💞💗💖
Loved to remember all childhood memories during intermission in old cinema, really missing the special kind of noise created by bottle openers while selling the cold drinks to fascinate people to purchase those cold drinks.Love to hear that sound if possible...,... please in any of your next video 🙏🙏
What a nice story. .. Ur childhood golden story.....
Thank you. Woh theater ke din yaad hein. For me it's between the mid 70's and early 80's en 90's
Sir bahut khusi hui aapke memories ko sunke.. U r so lovable!!

Golden memories
💞wow ajay devgn my favorites hero💞
💞mass maharaja💞
Those were the golden days..
You made me nostalgic...I had same experience
🙏🏻♥️
Same pinch,,
Same thing,,
Ur memories matching like my child hood memories,,
& my first movie"s DDLJ,,
I like always your story 👌👌👌👍👍👍
