This for me is the definition of mercy. God has always extended His mercy to me. Mercy and forgiveness are not the same. These are things that can go hand in hand, but they are not mutually exclusive. And I feel we all need to have a sense of mercy to be able to forgive.
THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR SAVING ME A SINNER WHO HAD SUCH A GREAT DEBT THAT I COULDNT REPAY IN TEN LIFE TIMES, AND I THANK YOU LORD FOR GIVING ME A NEW HEART AND NEW DESIRES I THANK YOU FOR NOT BEING LIKE UNTO MEN WHOS WAYS ARE NOT NOT YOUR WAYS AND WHOSE THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS, I THANK YOU FOR TAKING ME BACK EVEN THOUGH IVE SINNED AGAINST YOU ,THAT YOU ARE FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE ME WHEN I CONFESS MY SINS AND I STILL HERE YOU SAY COME UNTO ME ALL WHO ARE HEAVY LADEN AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST EVEN THOUGH I HAD ONCE AND WILL ALWAYS BE IN YOU DEBT I LOVE YOU LORD JESUS BECAUSE YOU FIRST LOVED ME AND I THANK YOU FOR YOU SAY YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE ME NOR FORSAKE ME.
This has been such a help to me after decades of family abuse the forgiveness means I can close the door & heal which I have never been able to do. Thank you Lord, thank you Pastor 🙏
I remember asking that same question to pastor Paul years a go. He told me this excited same thing ❤️❤️. It has helped me so much! I asked God to forgive me and to help me forgive that other person, and to give me a new heart towards them. God has and has changed me 🥰🥰. I can love that person from afar but not keep getting hurt.
It’s hard to wrap my mind around the idea that the wages of sin is death. But I know it’s true. It points to the extent that sin has to be dealt with. But then I am reminded that ultimately it’s really about love; it took LOVE to die I n the cross. And it takes love to forgive one another. 😌🕊 For God so loved the world that he gave up His only son...John 3:16
Thank you Pastor Paul You really balanced this sermon, indeed it came from the throne of Grace,am blessed, God bless you and your ministry in Jesus name.
Good morning. I have watched every video from Genesis 1 to this video of Matthew 18:21. There has been many videos that has really spoke to my heart. And this was another one of those videos.. thank you so much for helping me with my trip through the bible .. I watch you every morning. I want to say thank you so much.. I love the way you teach the bible.. May God bless you and your family.
The unforgiving servant simply could not have let the enormity of the Kings mercy humble him to deep gratitude . He must have responded with fearful and angry pride , hating what happened to him BEFORE the the King forgave . Blaming those who owed him . Clinging to relatively tiny injustices done against him . He must have focused on the trauma and fear of ALMOST being thrown into jail and how awful THAT was , rather than how GLORIOUS it was to be forgiven. Cooosing NOT to move forward in endless gratitude and joy , but to move forward in rage and fear . I'm sad that I see myself in the unforgiving servant .
Good testimony how you 4gave seemingly easily. But will you tell us the steps it took to get their, b4 the great arrival of complete forgiveness, you tell us the viewers you forgiven your enemies, we need to known the steps, the effort etc, the struggle of the flesh and spirit, when flesh is weak & spirit is willing, help us
What does the Lord Christ declare?......"For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 (ESV)
I heard another Pastor say that the servant may of been a tax collector for a few cities and the money he owed was to a king, that is why the debt was so high. If you combine many cities and the tax collected, something like that. Hmm or maybe it was one of the kings servants who overlooked all the tax collectors of the land.

I want to bless you in the name of Jesus. I am always blessed by your preaching. May God bless you, your family, and your church congregation.
"Jesus was forsaken so you wouldn't have to be." Powerful sentence there.

I think of all the pain Jesus went through when he cried out why have you forsaken me was probably the worst part for him.
Thank you Pasteur Paul I really needed this message at this stage in my life. Thank you Pastor you are speaking directly to my situation.
