Great coaching, man. At my first DZ, the DZO would say "If you're gonna be stupid, you might as well be tough." This after a high flare on a jump in my mid-teens, just off student status.

I have magnetic riser covers and bought a magnetic slider keeper. I'm a little worried about adding it. It's the GSG keeper on a new ICON V container. Any thoughts?

The risks are mostly about accidentally popping toggle while you pull thr slider down. Take your time, and keep flying your canopy away from traffic while you stow your slider. Take your time and do it right. I suggest pulling a little higher than usual so you don't feel rushed. Lastly, run some tests in thr packing area to ensure the slider comes all the way down past your stowed toggles without obstruction.

@@Brian-Germain Ok, I've already been pulling the slider down behind my head. The problem is I'm short and it creeps up. I have a slider keeper but I'm worried about it attaching to another magnet on my rig. Would it be better to add tabs to the risers to hold it down? Am I being super paranoid?

Lots of people have magnetic slider keepers and riser covers, and I have never heard of a problem. The riser tabs couldn't hurt though.
