It's worth remembering that 'Donna' is actually the actress Sarah Rafferty. Her superb portrayal of Donna is a testament to her acting skills. It doesn't look as though Sarah Rafferty has ever been nominated for an award, which is a huge shame.

Donna broke the law and destroyed the memo to protect him and was fired. And even if she no longer worked for him, she convinged Louis gave up the suspension request due to the aggression. Friends and the entire network of acquaintances (prosecution, bar, judges' offices) are used to facilitate Harvey's business and help him achieve his goals. His files are at the top of the pile to be taken with priority. Even if he is not a lawyer, he has a lot of great ideas that help him solve his cases and if it hadn't been for her to temper his impulsive nature, he would have made a lot of mistakes. He leaves the intercom open precisely because he trusts her judgement. However, when Paula asks him to fire her, he racks his brains to find a solution to get rid of her and doesn't even have the decency to tell her in front of. This is what loyalty looks like at that moment Donna the worst character told Harvey to do something to make Mike's dream come true (to become a lawyer) she told Rachel to plead her case with Jessica to pay for her college and Donna went to Jessica and obtained Louis the Malone's corner office.

He turned over the DA's documents to Jessica to put them to good use and help Harvey who was facing a serious charge. And she was wrong to destroy that memo, but she did everything to protect Harvey and she was fired for it.
"You left me too" - such a powerful yet vulnerable line by donna. Goes to show how strong she is and yet so caring
