The presumption of this video is that you already have esophageal cancer. Don't let it get to that point. Broadly speaking, before there is esophageal cancer, there is Barret's Esophagus, which is not cancerous. Before BE, there are abnormalities of the esophagus. If you have GERD and are experiencing anomalies of your throat, get scoped by an ENT. My manifestation was an inability to hit upper notes while singing Christmas carols. Better safe than sorry.

He just dismissed her because she was pregnant and he said it was the pregnancy. When the baby was only about a week old. They finally listened to her. They found out that she had esophageal cancer. She was only diagnosed 3 months when she started hemorrhaging one night and she passed away that night at the hospital. It was/is beyond sad.
It's more common in older people. I just had an endoscopy done waiting for results. I've had bad acid reflux for past 7 years. Vomiting and acid in mouth when I hiccup. I'm 31
I've had acid reflux for about 10 years on and off. The doctors have always given me antacids to take however these haven't ever worked on me. 10 years pass and I'm still getting the usual on and off acid to the point where I need to use extra pillows in bed as I manage better with elevation in my upper torso. I went to the doctors today to let them do some physical checks they said I'll give you 6 months prescription of omeprazole.. I told them that all the antacids don't work. They ignored me once again so I ripped up my prescription. I also mentioned to my doctor that I'm getting pain in my lower esophagus while eating my first meal of each day and I'm starting to feel neck/throat pain regularly. Again my words meant nothing. I asked for an internal examination through the mouth but she said I will need to wait 72 weeks just to be added to the list and they may not do the examination even after that time. I've being doing my own research which btw is a lot more helpful the the doctors through the NHS. Can anyone give me any advice and any success stories to cure this condition would be greatly appreciated.

@@joannecoggins4621 yes he needs to be watched carefully.if the esophageal sphincter has been removed,there is nothing to keep stomach contents down.A complete life style change is required here;smallmeals only,head above belly at all times,especially in bed,no sudden bending from waist,good antacid before bedtime.Many folks slip back into old habits,big mouthfuls,eating late.All BAD.A good surgeon should be following up;l have CT scan every 6 mos.Everyone must be patient with him.Good thoughts.
My last colonoscopy and endoscopy I found out I have barrots esophaguse, I take omeprazole 20 mg every morning and at night I take FAMOTIDINE 40 mg. Next week I am due to repeat colonoscopy and endoscopy, I have to be tested every 3 years to keep me from getting colon cancer, my mother died from colon cancer, my brother had it, but died from COPD, and my mother’s brother died of colon cancer. I am 73 now and I’ve been getting tested for the last 20 years. I would have already died if not tested, I am a little worried about the barrots, I have a little cough, and that’s a symptom., and because of COVID it is hard not to be noticed.
I'm 20 years old, and i have never smoked or drinked in my 20 years of living and i've been having a discomfort in my upper abdomen and my chest lately, it feels like something is stuck in my stomach or at the end of my esophagus, maybe acid or maybe gas i don't know, i've also been burping a lot. This has been happening to me for a couple days now, i don't have trouble swallowing nor i have food coming back up, i simply feel a discomfort of being full or something stuck. 99% likely it isn't anything as serious as cancer, especially given your age and lifestyle behaviours. However, if it's debilitating or causing you anxiety then please get it looked at. Cancer does strike the young and healthy too (very rare though) and some of the young and healthy will be in that 1% of people who do get cancer. To be sure it isn't you get it checked out by your doctor. Stressing over it will ruin your quality of life so rule it out and move on... Good luck.
how u doing king? that sounds like a viral/bacterial or anxiety related, or possibly a auto immune issue can randomly just start for no reason if u have covid or a ilness recently. wouldnt worry to much man, get some fresh negative ions, alkalze your diet, reduce inflamation, do alot cardio
I surfer from really bad gerd. Anything i eat gives me reflex and i mean everything. I have had upper and lower GI and told my nissen is intact and working. Gonna get another done because its got to where eating is uncomfortable because it all gives me reflux
An endoscopy is not painful or difficult, you are sedated and don’t feel anything. You may have a minor sore throat for a couple of days, but that’s all. Better to find out what’s going on than to make yourself sick with worry
I have been diagnosed just 4 mths ago n have undergone chemotherapy jus waiting for ct scan then will decide if surgery will be needed but i like to say this 5 yrs ago i have had problems with my voice n also stool used to be black n when went to docs refered to ent specialist who prescribed gaviscon which cured the voice temporary but since became annemic the camera used by the ent specialist is the one i use to check my car had they used the proper equipment would have shown the real pronlem

It’s wise to pay attention to your body because you can beat a lot of illnesses if you treat it early. Stay on a good GERD diet. Eat slowly and don’t eat a lot of anything. Don’t eat 3hrs befor bed. If you have trouble belching get up and walk around a bit. Get well!!!

i would go to a doctor that you trust and check it out. listen to your body and if you feel like something IS wrong, i would go to the doctor. (i am not a medical person, but i am just giving some advice) best of luck.
I do believe it take a few years of repeated acid exposure. The older you get, the more vulnerable you’re because of that timeline of prolonged exposure. If you have GERD like I do, get it checked and treated. GERD is such a pain to deal with. Some people change their diets and they’re fine, some are stuck on PPIs like myself but after awhile, I feel the PPIs are not as effective as they were.

I had gerd twice.. one 10 years ago and cured it with alkaline diet, green juicing, mk677, and sodium bicarb and some other herbal protocols (bowl and colon flush, kidney liver) to get the whole body moving agian, now i got it again 5 months ago due to poor diet and ruishined busy life, cured it 90% almost cured with same protocol..... im still in healing phase, typically took 12 to 18 months last time now bit quicker because i know exactly what to do as before i didnt.. was on ppi's etc

I’ve been having pain/tightness in my chest, tight throat, random pains in esophagus (esp where esophagus meets stomach), constantly having contents from stomach come up. Can’t hardly eat anything without having food contents coming up so I’m on a pretty bland diet. I’m on dexilant, sucralfate, and zegerid and none of these are curing me. Was on Prilosec and protonix but they didn’t work either. I’ve dealt with reflux for a few years. I’m terrified this could be cancer since no ppi’s or otc’s are working (they’ve helped but haven’t cured). I’m miserable. I’m only 26 and I’m scared this could be esophageal cancer. My appointment for an endoscopy is in 2 weeks so we’ll see what he says. Hoping for the best...
I started getting pain near the mouth of my stomach. In the middle right before hitting ribs or your middle bone . . I started getting inflammation . It’s a little to my left it almost feel like it’s my ab . But still in the middle. When I presss on it. It stings. And gets inflame. I can’t lay on my stomach because I feel the in inflammation . feels like a lump. I got a cat scan in the ER IT showed nothing. I’m just very worried. Been like this for almost 2 months . It don’t hurt when I eat but I feel full sometime from the inflammation .
Mary Spencer I did. I have scar tissue in my esophagus. But that was not causing the inflammation. Turns out it’s my cartilage on my button left rib. If I sit a lot the cartilage rubs and inflamed. Also I found a new problem with the scaring . I try not to eat late.

@@doloron7803 go to doctor schedule a camera down the throat . So basically I have like cuts in my esophagus from acid reflex . And I never feel acid reflex. Happens at night while I’m asleep.
over say the last 6 months I ve started noticing a sensation where it feels like my throat or the top of my stomach sort of near my chest is tightening or contracting. Usually happens shortly after meals or several hours between meals not necessarily while eating. Sometimes it feels so tight I feel the need to cough to try and force dilation. Sometimes while eating I get the feeling maybe I'm eating too fast or not chewing my food down and I feel like food gets stuck in my chest then eventually goes down but it doesnt come back up (for now). About 5 times within the last year I've been awakened from my sleep choking because maybe I had a snack or light meal and laid down. Never really had gerd symptoms before but feel like maybe I'm starting to develop and was going to talk to my dr about starting prilosec or something similar. I just figured I'd stop eating and laying down and problem solved. But this is concerning and I dont want to ignore the signs of what could be pretty deadly.
I think problems swallowing like you have food stuck in your throat. I have that I didn't think anything of it because I thought it was just food, now it happens when I just drink liquids. I guess I should go to the doctor.
I've had constant chest pain for over 2 months now, it started after eating late for several weeks and eating heavy spiced foods and some drinking, first I felt like I had something stuck in my throat for about 3 weeks with lots of burping then came the 2 month chest burning pain Went to ER and they determined it's not my heart. Pain is ranging from 4 to 9 then at night it goes down to probably a 2. It's taking for ever to be seen by Gastroenterologist. I'm worried it could be something really bad. Been having a somewhat runny nose when eating but lately it's not that light , I noticed a strange sensation today when blowing my nose hours after having the runny nose( no mucus) just blowing. This man is a very gifted surgeon. He repaired my incisional hernia with a mesh in October of 2016 and I highly recommend him.
Isn’t mesh the thing that everyone is suing over because it ate through their organs? I hope this is a different type of mesh.

I am fine had surgery been over 2 yrs now slowly gaining weight as food intake is like 1/5

Get an endoscopy as soon as you can, don’t wait! This is not the place to ask opinions from people who are not gastroenterologists

Can’t hardly eat anything without having food contents coming up so I’m on a pretty bland diet. I’m on dexilant, sucralfate, and zegerid and none of these are curing me. Was on Prilosec and protonix but they didn’t work either. I’ve dealt with reflux for a few years. I’m terrified this could be cancer since no ppi’s or otc’s are working (they’ve helped but haven’t cured). I’m miserable. I’m only 26 and I’m scared this could be esophageal cancer. My appointment for an endoscopy is in 2 weeks so we’ll see what he says. Hoping for the best...

I started getting pain near the mouth of my stomach. In the middle right before hitting ribs or your middle bone . . I started getting inflammation . It’s a little to my left it almost feel like it’s my ab . But still in the middle. When I presss on it. It stings. And gets inflame. I can’t lay on my stomach because I feel the in inflammation . feels like a lump. I got a cat scan in the ER IT showed nothing. I’m just very worried. Been like this for almost 2 months . It don’t hurt when I eat but I feel full sometime from the inflammation .

Mary Spencer I did. I have scar tissue in my esophagus. But that was not causing the inflammation. Turns out it’s my cartilage on my button left rib. If I sit a lot the cartilage rubs and inflamed. Also I found a new problem with the scaring . I try not to eat late.

@@doloron7803 go to doctor schedule a camera down the throat . So basically I have like cuts in my esophagus from acid reflex . And I never feel acid reflex. Happens at night while I’m asleep.

Same thing, done four endoscopy and it's all good, just reflux, and all food going hard in the end of esophagus, without acid burn

That was a long time ago I had test done im ok no cancer thank u for your concern
over say the last 6 months I ve started noticing a sensation where it feels like my throat or the top of my stomach sort of near my chest is tightening or contracting. Usually happens shortly after meals or several hours between meals not necessarily while eating. Sometimes it feels so tight I feel the need to cough to try and force dilation. Sometimes while eating I get the feeling maybe I'm eating too fast or not chewing my food down and I feel like food gets stuck in my chest then eventually goes down but it doesnt come back up (for now). About 5 times within the last year I've been awakened from my sleep choking because maybe I had a snack or light meal and laid down. Never really had gerd symptoms before but feel like maybe I'm starting to develop and was going to talk to my dr about starting prilosec or something similar. I just figured I'd stop eating and laying down and problem solved. But this is concerning and I dont want to ignore the signs of what could be pretty deadly.

I think problems swallowing like you have food stuck in your throat. I have that I didn't think anything of it because I thought it was just food, now it happens when I just drink liquids. I guess I should go to the doctor.

I've had constant chest pain for over 2 months now, it started after eating late for several weeks and eating heavy spiced foods and some drinking, first I felt like I had something stuck in my throat for about 3 weeks with lots of burping then came the 2 month chest burning pain Went to ER and they determined it's not my heart. Pain is ranging from 4 to 9 then at night it goes down to probably a 2. It's taking for ever to be seen by Gastroenterologist. I'm worried it could be something really bad. Lately I feel pain in my back .. Been having a somewhat runny nose when eating but lately it's not that light , I noticed a strange sensation today when blowing my nose hours after having the runny nose( no mucus) just blowing. Still burping but not as much.

Feels like you are choking on food wont go down. Very painful. Mine starts at my breast bone after i take a few bits i find out quickly that only one way is back up...
