I've noticed on a few of the passes that the higher HP trucks make that they have so much engine that it digs right down and sits in the holes it makes but with the Diesel engine trucks they seem to do better because they lack the grunt down low and it lags the tires so they can eat before the turbos kick in and pull on through

Depends on truck. Some are mild built some are radical. Some are small block most are big block and some are coal burners.
