First time I saw them, they dance to "El Chocolo" in Forever Tango; I love that skit/dance better than the dance of Evaristo Carriego. Marcela or Marcelita, as fondly referred to by Gavito in his instructional video, Un Tal Gavito, I was at awe. Later at the Las Vegas Tango Festival in 1999 and again in 2003, they were just super. Gavito, because of his command of English did most of the talking at the Las Vegas workshop. He told us about the musicality of the Tango: The man follows the left hand of the piano, the woman steps follow the melody of the violin, and both of your hearts beat are connected like the bandoneon. His tango style, just to borrow from the narration of Un Tal Gavito, is irreverent; but to me, its simple, unique and plain elegant. I can only execute the "pilla" with my wife.
