    Phil, thanks for the great series on this kit, as well as the other Revell kits. Just got my AT-AT in the mail yesterday, but I think I want to wait for your second one to learn how to get the "toes" free. Wishing you, your family and everyone at Flory a Merry X-mas and a Happy New Year.

    It’s about the same size as the puppet used by Phil Tippett when filming ESB.

    I have the original version from back in the day. What a really great upgrade shows I need to buy some weathering materials. Merry Christmas 🌲

    I've really enjoyed your discussion on the build, painting and weathering of the AT-AT. Magnificent work. However, as a newbie I wish you would spend more time talking about the modifications you were adding and. then showing us what you actually doing the mods. You spent a great deal of screen time sanding and spraying and not much time showing us the actual modifications you were adding (even after you had completed some of them). Lastly, you often show your viewers the AT-AT and made reference to "this" or "that" or "theses" without pointing to the items you were referring to. Again, as a nube I had no idea exactly what you were referring to. Your work and ideas are important and I'd like to learn everything I can, so the detail is important to someone like me. Thanks for your work and sharing your work with us. It blows me away. Best wishes..... Ax

    I know Revell states it's 1/53, but can you advise on the measurements? It looks like it's more 1/72, although I appreciate watching on TH-cam isn't the best way to gage properly! Thanks.

    Looks over weathered

    • @BenBreeg1138
      @BenBreeg1138 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What does that even mean? The most overused term in modeling...

    • @christopherwhitford831
      @christopherwhitford831 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Rovnan it means that the model in scale to the weathering is over done

    • @BenBreeg1138
      @BenBreeg1138 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@christopherwhitford831 It's a pretend vehicle with a plausible story to explain the weathering. One of the Hoth AT-ATs is pretty nasty and it would not have been subject to weathering from that environment.

    • @christopherwhitford831
      @christopherwhitford831 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Rovnan it’s an opinion you have yours i have mine we all have them no reason to get upset

    • @BenBreeg1138
      @BenBreeg1138 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@christopherwhitford831 I am not upset. I think weathering is all about context and over or underweathering only exists by that standard. If someone says they are modeling an old, beat up subject, then the weathering should be appropriate, so it would be heavily done. A new, off the line subject would have little if any. So when Phil described the scenario he imagined the AT-AT operating in, his level of weathering made sense. A constructive critique of what you feel was overweathered would have been a more useful comment.
