Stephen Sondheim seems like an enigma so anytime a performer is asked what it's like to work with him I can't peel my eyes away. Interesting to hear that even people like Patti had fearful/challenging moments working with him.
I've only seen you perform on TV and not in this format. Besides being a great actress, you are so funny and down to earth. I can hardly wait to see you in HOLLYWOOD. Since we are a few years apart, stay safe so I can enjoy many more years of your great talent.
I saw her give a concert at Symphony Space. I was on my feet applauding so often because it was like multiple climatic moments. She was so generous with her material. Her banter was charming. I wonder if it was similar to the Lincoln Center performance, but there was no NY Philharmonic Orchestra. The thought of everything in the original key for that seems intriguing. Before Covid, I was trying to see her before the end of previews on her Sondheim show!

I love her in some things [Gypsy, Passion, Frasier, Pose] but she was horrid in Anything Goes especially since she could not properly sing the lyrics due to her horrid diction...which has since improved dramatically.
