    I played with the reg and hammer in the 380 barrel and found a little more reg pressure and less hammer did the trick for accuracy improvement. Listen for the snap when it gets loud the accuracy goes south. This was in 22. 18 gr jsb;s at 865 fps. I run the same reg pressure and hammer for 30 cal 44 gr and the 22 18s. Power wheel on max for 30 and 2 for the 22. Reg is 145. The 30 barrel is 600mm Superb back yard gun. Easy to lean up against anything and shoot. And as you said off the bench. You just smile all the time.

  • @SpYucaipaSoCal

    It’s amazing how accurate the 380 barrel is. So much I have one on both my 1st gen Crowns 1 22 and the other 25. Both run 150 on the regs and I just turn the power wheel down to keep whatever I’m using just under 900 fps. My poor Wildcat doesn’t see much use anymore.
    You can’t go wrong shopping at Utah they always treat me right.
    I just wanted to see the fps your getting with the newer gun. Since the plenum is a little bigger than mine are.

    @duffmanmark 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry for the late reply but the video didnt show up as soon as you released it... But on the whole i love the look of the chassis. On a grouping stand point do you weigh and sort your pelllets as a few grains difference has a lot more effect down range. I know head and skirt size also play a part but at the higher velocity the skirt will flare out to match the barrel but there is no room for head manipulation

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @duffmanmark- No worries man! I also like to gun but it is heavy! I weighed it the other day and it’s 6 kg! The scope weights a lot though and I will be switching it up. I didn’t sort the pellets, that was straight out of the tin. I might sort them when I go for 100 yard groups with the 700mm barrel. Thanks for commenting man, I appreciate it!

    did you clean the barrel before you started?

  • @edgarlombera7066
    @edgarlombera7066 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Need some help here! If you don’t mind… the included moderator makes mine inaccurate… shoots from left to right and down, and keeps doing so… but once I shoot without it; stacks pellets at 30m. What’s going on here?? And why does the moderator change the POI??

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @AirgunnerCA-There are 2 reasons, first is that any thing that touches the barrel has an impact on the harmonics. It changes the vibrations that the barrel has when the shot goes off and that plays a role in accuracy and consistency. Second, the moderator influences the sir as the projectile leaves the barrel. Some times it does not do the job of clearing the air away from the projectile and can destabilize it. Experimenting with aftermarket moderators will show that some work better than other for stripping the air away from the projectile so it doesn’t impact the accuracy hope that helps man! Good luck

    • @edgarlombera7066
      @edgarlombera7066 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dangolwinner right on bro! It all makes sense now. I’m going to see if I can get a replacement, it barks without the moderator, and to have spent this much money on something that’s faulty is unacceptable…. If that still doesn’t do the job then I’ll look into an after market one. One more thing if you don’t mind… what’s with my cocking lever? It was smooth like butter for the first 30 shots but now it seems to be a 2nd stage one lol I have to give it a small yank towards the end to fully cock it… feels kind of like something is rubbing against it…

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @AirgunnerCA- it could need a bit of cleaning where the pellet probe is. If you take off the power wheel, the spring and spring seat will come out. You can clean that area and apply a small amount of oil to lube everything back up. You can also add a small amount of lube on the silver push rod that’s connected to the cocking arm where I goes into the main block towards where the cheek piece is.

    Another dilemma here if you don’t mind me asking for some help… So I finally got my fx pocket radar and wanted to see what my velocities were like with the 380 and 700mm barrel using the king heavies and the MK2s. So I’m getting an average of 863 with the kings and 770 with the MK2s with the short barrel. Long barrel 970 with the king heavies, 833 with the MK2…. All of this with the stock settings max on hammer, high on the transfer port end 145 BAR. Any way to get those numbers up? Just the MK2 but I do plan on shooting slugs later on with the heavy slug liner I got. 830ish seems very low when you consider slugs can be a bit heavier

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @AirgunnerCA- You will need to add the slug power kit. That will boost the power up quite a bit and allow you to up your reg pressure. You can also add the Huma transfer port, that will give you a boost as well. My mk2 with those parts I mentioned will shoot the 34 gr mk2 heavies at 1090fps.

    • @edgarlombera7066
      @edgarlombera7066 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What’s the difference between the 300mm or 700mm barrel, other than compact versatility?

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @AirgunnerCA- The main difference is the speeds you can potentially achieve. You can get either barrel to shoot ragged hole groups with pellets at 50 yards all day, but the longer barrel will allow you to shoot at a much lower reg pressure. That will lead to more shots per fill. If your looking for the best possible groups at 100 yards, the 700mm barrel will edge out the 380mm barrel, but that being said you can get great accuracy still with the short barrel. The difference in speed between the 2 is about 130 FPS using the same tune and only swapping barrels.

    Is it possible to do 885 fps with the King Heavy'sat your setting?

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Yves Thomas- With the 380 compact barrel, not quite. I have it setup right now with the reg at 150 bar, the hammer pretension at max, and transfer port wheel on high and with the Hades it’s shooting them at 910fps. I haven’t shot the heavies on this current tune yet. With the longer barrel definitely! I put the 700 mm barrel on there with those setting and it’s pushing the Mk2 heavies at 970fps. When I get the chance today to tomorrow I’ll shoot the heavies out of the compact barrel and get back to you about what speed it’s pushing them at.
