Hey, Elie, idk if it's due to copyright stuff. But I wanted to touch on the wonderful music from the show. This song in the beginning is one of my absolute favorites in the series. I have 3 others that I absolutely love. But they may be tied to spoilers, so I'll reserve them for later. Lol
While I love that they included George Remus in that show, great character and very well acted, I'm still slightly upset at the show never going anywhere near the really interesting and juicy parts of his story. So NONE of this happens in the show, but it happened to the real Remus, so i hope it doesn't count as spoilers or be warned. Short summary, because the full story is long and crazy. George Remus spend some time in prison where he would befriend a man named Franklin Dodge. Remus would let slip to Franklin that he kept all his money in his wife's name. Turns out Franklin was actually an undercover prohibition agent, who ends up quitting his job and began an affair with Remus' wife. The couple even hired a hit man to murder Remus, but the hit man got scared of him and instead told Remus everything. Remus would end up murdering his wife in broad daylight when he attempted to steal some of the money back from her. Shooting her in the stomach in front of onlookers after a car chase. Remus (being a lawyer) defended himself in his court trial by pleading temporary insanity over his wife's betrayal and amazingly this actually kind of worked. He would spend a few months in an asylum before being set free. AND THEY USED NONE OF THIS IN THE SHOW FOR SOME REASON. And apparently he really did refer to himself in the third person constantly.
@@Hexon66My guess is they set up a lot of stuff in these earlier seasons that if they had been given more time they would have developed it more. Clearly the stories were there, but they had to make tough decisions after being told they would only get 5 seasons.
This show did such a great job retelling history from this time period but the inclusion of machine-gunning klamsmen in NJ is patently absurd. The KKK did have some membership in northern NJ but none of any note in AC. Nor did the klan affiliates in any part of NJ commit lynchings, hangings or otherwise murder or attack black people at any time. This just screams of “remember how bad America was racially!” thrown in for woke points. I hope it’s clear I’m not defending the KKK. It’s just shoe horned in so awkwardly to give chalky extra enemies to fight against.
Season 2 is where Chalky comes into his own. Looking forward to your reaction.

Yeah the audio is definitely an issue with your streaming service as I've checked my copies and they sound great.
The sound is a bit off. Must be the copy. My set on blu-ray is a much fuller sound with movement between channels
