Considering that I am a staunch defender of the original version with Angela Lansbury, this version is superb in its own right. The retro touches to this version are very authentic for the musical style of the period trying to be portrayed. Bravo! And why I love PMJ ❤

In some weird alternate universe Beauty and Beast was actually a Casablanca style B&W movie about a tiny princedom in Nazi occupied France. The "Beast" was a aristocrat pretending to be collaborating with the Nazi, but soon the heroine finds that this was a façade for his true activities. Since he used to hide his Jew friends in the furniture... And almost everyone dies in the end by the hands of SS thanks to a Vichy's officer named Gastón. :'(

I was judging that first part, then I hear her deep voice and I get everything.
She's definitely one of the best singers on PMJ! Simply amazing. I wasn't sure about this because all I've heard from her was spunky upbeat renditions, but this smooth tone of hers is working WONDERS! The trombone, as well.
She should sing a Mariah song with that range, though!
