I hooked a thresher in WPB last week but lost him after it jumped clean out of the water 20m behind my boat..... filled my jocks and couldn't stop shaking for an hour. What a rush!

While I was in Aus, everyone I went fishing with (fished for about 15 days out of the 4 weeks I spent there) used a right hand retrieve. I didn't meet anyone else that was using left hand as I was. I think it's just the location/country, like driving. Some left side, some right side.
Back on the video, awesome gummy. I wasn't able to hook up onto any while I was there, but hoping my next trip out at the end of the year I do.

Here in the UK we get them, we call them smoothounds but they don't that big, our record is around 30lb so about 14kg ish
