Oi Lucas, muito obrigado!!! Dá pra você entrar na Guiana Francesa por Oiapoque e visitar a vila deles lá do outro lado, não precisa de visto...mas também só isso...para você entrar de verdade na Guiana Francesa você precisa ir em um consulado ou embaixada da França e tirar o visto de turismo, que foi o que eu fiz. A França tem consulado em Recife, em São Paulo, no Rio de Janeiro e a Embaixada em Brasília. Entra no site deles, lá tem uma lista da documentação!!! Qualquer dúvida pode me escrever 😉

Why yall allowing france 🇫🇷 to steal from your country? I expected FG to look better than Guyana 🇬🇾 and Suriname 🇸🇷 wow. I thought because your country is still a colony maybe it would have been better than Guyana and Suriname that are countries that declared independence but was devasted with poverty since then. It’s probably hard to get a visa to French Guiana because you’re literally entering France and the EU.
You're right!!! However Brazilians don't need visa to enter Europe as tourists. We have 90 days free. Europe will implement ETIAS visa...an online visa by november 2023....but nothing compared to the hard visa process I had to pass through in the embassy to go to French Guiana. There isn't almost anything to see in French Guiana hahahaha

FG is about 3x times as rich as neighboring regions. Europe sure does invest in it, but part of it should also come by themselves

@@paul-xo7oo Not really, even in South America, French Guyana does not have a significant economic presence, its GDP is high just because it is French, not because the region generates that amount of money, so you can see what I am saying, they earn in euros, but the difference between the minimum wage is not Very different from other countries in the region. In addition to having to buy French products with a miserable salary, Guyana is not the most developed area in the region.

Yes, you need a yellow fever document, Covid vaccination card, visa (if needed for your nationality), hotel reservation and a return ticket. A proof you will leave FG....

@@cruxsacrasitmihilux9363 weather in Guayaquil is pretty much like Guiana, however, it’s a developed city in the middle of a swamp (Ecuador is not a developed country but their cities are decent looking and have its charm), so you can call it what you want, but no, France does not invest in that part of the country, they just attempt to invest enough to make guianian’s lives more livable. And they do the bare minimum despite investing hella lot in the spatial program IN Guiana. Also you talk about qualifications, but how can they develop it when FRANCE does not even invest decent education programs on that land? What’s even more horrific is the fact that it gets to be as expensive as Montevideo, in Uruguay, the most expensive city in LATAM, but quality living standards are terrible. And all this mess is caused by France. You’re welcome.

Hi, thank you! The closest city is Albina (Surinam) - San Laurent du Maroni (French Guiana). Normally there is no control at all...

Yes, you have to have the yellow fever vaccine and the certificate of proof you took it!!!

French Guyana even though in South America is part of the EU so the visa process will be the same as going to France as same laws apply. I have never been but have lived in what was British Guyana, that's no longer British, the state of developments and leisurely life style looks very similar to that country and the same sea water, not very inviting for swimming, same as its neighbour Suriname which was known as Dutch Guyana, so all 3 formed British, Dutch and French Guyana. thanks for sharing.
What was the process to apply for the visa to goin French Guyana?
I had to print a formular in the French Embassy and filled it with my personal info. I had to take a picture with a professional. I had to send a letter of the places I wanted to visit, a declaration from my company saying I would be on vacation, a proof of my payment check, a bank statement, yellow fever and covid vaccination. I think it was everything. It was tough....😅😅😅😅
I don't know why so many complications....I couldn't enjoy this territory very well...anyway...it was a different experience

@unknow Yeah, you are right!!! They have the Space center there. They lauch many satellites from Kourou Space center. Even Russia had a space there....I believe this space center makes the French Guiana special... they also have some part of the amazon rainforest, which has a lot of gold and important minerals too....

The french Guiana is very expensive. They use euros there. Everything is expensive in comparison to Brazil.
Basically France's quality of life including France's pricing but about 20%~ higher in average.

There is a city in the north of Brazil called OIAPOQUE, which is on the border of FRENCH GUIANA. From there you can take a boat and enter FG. Or you can cross through a bridge...

They asked much more documents than the american visa..
Becuse once you are in FG you legally are in France, i.e. in the European Union. And the EU presently has a big illegal immigration issue - not just France.

French Guiana is not a country, it's a part of France, its citizens are French citizens, and legally the same rules and regulations apply there as in mainland France across the Atlantic. Applying for residency in FG means applying for residency in France (and in the European Union), and the very same immigration laws apply as in mainland France.
