I have lots of things I enjoy and pursue, but I own my own home, 2 vehicles and have solar panels that pay for my electricity. I intentionally live simple because I despise workaholism, so if thats gonna be a deal-breaker, ill stay single until i croak. I watched my dad run himself into the ground, and im not fuckin doin it. He was so rarely home when i was a kid, and i refuse to do that to my hypothetical children.

So it's not really videogames, but literally ignoring everything for videogames, which, when you put it into context of having a girlfriend, you know, the thing many gamers want, is quite ironic. It's almost like they don't want to BE with a girlfriend, but to HAVE a girlfriend, like having a toaster you use once a month.

I like this, it's the same way I've been thinking whenever I read about women hating videogames, it's not about gaming itself - it's the fact that the guy/partner takes so much of the time doing his hobby there isn't enough for them both to enjoy each other's company. You can replace gaming with anything else and it'd be the same.
