Is Fire Stingray having better turning in 99 confirmed? Turning being better in 99 was my first impression as well, but I am not so sure, I think there might be other reasons for that impression. 1. Tracks are wider in some spots, on some more obvious than on others. Notable parts that are very tight for Fire Stingray are the double hairpin in Silence or Fire Field. While those tracks seem to be pretty close to the original there are some differences. The whole double hairpin is about 1.5 electric barrier parts wider in 99, making it easier. I didn't map it out in Fire Field, but I noticed that the layout from the end of the pit lane to the start is different, I think that is because the main straight is wider, making turn 1 easier. There might be other minor differences on that track 2. The different perspective in 99 does not just cause it to feel slower, but also makes your turning look faster. When looking at the electrical barriers they look really streched compared to SNES. It is a bit like stretching the screen from 4:3 to 16:9, when you do that your turning will also look stronger.
fascinating!
