Thank you for sharing... I just found you thru Ariana Arsenault. She gave a wonderful shout out about you, and I am now a member of your channel. Thank you so much.
I love your videos! Please keep making them, you are so adorable! I'm starting to make soaps and want to make them available. Thank you for sharing your story, experience, tips, suggestions and more!
Hello, Soap Gal! Thank you for sharing this video, You are Truly Heaven Sent ❤❤❤ I have been struggling to find a sturdy way to package my soap and you have given us a great standard, THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH 🥰😍🥰😍
This is a lovely soap thanks for all of your inspiration. I am an Aromatherapist and Herbalist. I specialize in skin issues, along with other mental and physical needs. I have an online business and mostly make salve, balms, Ointment, lotions & essential oil blends. I have just in the past year started to venture into the soaping world. I love your videos and soaps. Thank you 😊
Hello Ma'am, Your videos are very clear to understand and it creates more interest on Soap making. I have doubts of mould and the cutting of soaps accurately as you show in your videos at last you pour the soap in White box like shape please explain how to make it and cut soaps that will be very helpful for soap makers Thank you
Your videos are so relaxing and such a pleasure to watch :) How long do you recommend for curing time? I know that most people say 6 months to a year. Is it ok to cure for 4-6 weeks? Thanks in advance!
Can you do a video on the different fragrance oils and essential oils, that are better than some. Depending on where I buy them they all small different and not always in a good way. But I also wanted to know where you purchased the silver containers of f.o or e.o.. Thanks
Hi i have looked with pleasure to your video. I am new to soap making. And i am french. I have seen that soap with olive oil take lot of time to cure. Your seem hard for the cut that's great. How long will be the cure?
Joanna, I love watching your videos with your passion for your craft and unselfish desire to help others. Your soap looked beautiful. I was surprised at how hard it was after just 24 hours. How do you keep the goats milk from turning a tan color, or will it change color as it cures?
Hi soap Gal.. I enjoyed your video so much.. Been watching it for 2 straight days now. I was looking for your online store. I could not find it. I wanted to try your castille goat soap. Could I order some of your best soap, and also raw goats milk. Thank you.
Hello and thank you so much. How long does it take to cure ? 4 to 6 weeks or 6 months ? I’ve heard that Castile soap takes forever to cure ? Love, Vera
Hi Vera! If you're using 50/50 solution it will take 48 hours to harden and then you will want to test the bars for a week afterward weighing them out to confirm cure time. Each environment has different humidity which will effect how long it takes to cure
Love that ASMR while you cut the slab into loaves and the loaves into bars. Castile soap is the best! Your enthusiasm always makes me smile. Thanks, Soap Gal and Honey!
Hi Joanna, I love your videos and I learned a lot, but the most amazing thing that happened to me was meeting you in person, you are a greatest and kindest that I ever imagined. Now my question is how long does it take to cure and be ready to use it?
This is the first video I saw that doesnt mix frozen goatmilk with lye so I'm curious how much percentage of goatmilk you poured to the oil base and if you did a water discount on the lye solution? Did you also freeze your soap? Did this go to trace? Thanks
Congratulations on your new niece and nephew! And what a wonderful pure soap you've made for them! Thank you for sharing! I was wondering if you ever add sugar to your castile to bring up the bubbles and salt to harden the bar? Also, do you ever do hot process if you need an order to go out fast? Love your videos by the way! :-)
When using 50/50 lye solution, castille soap is cured for the same amount of time as all other recipes. It is safe to use in 48 hours but will need to be weighed until all the remaining water has evaporated which will give you your hard cure time for your recipe. Hope that helps!
@@dinatelovelace2055 50/50 means you use the same (or preferably maybe a little bit more) amount of WATER as your recipe calls for LYE. If the recipe calls for 3 oz LYE, you would use 3 oz WATER, no matter what the recipe calls for, in water. ALWAYS go by the recipe for the LYE WEIGHT, but you can always reduce the WATER WEIGHT, just NEVER less than the lye weight!
Hello, I am a new subscriber and come from Germany. I am a hobby soap boiler. I love your channel because you are so authentic and natural. You give many helpful tips and tricks. Thank you for that. How long is soap durable?
How long do you cure this soap? When I make Castile soap it cures for 6 months, but with the goats milk added, is it ready a bit sooner? Thanks!!! Thanks for giving us recipes too.... really appreciate it.

Sure that you're crazy-busy with your booming business, but wanted to let you know we are still thinking of you and miss you here on TH-cam. Love you Joanna and wishing you all the best! Blessings--
Saponified Olive Oil , Sunflower Oil, Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Rosemary Extract, Coconut Oil, and Citric Acid. I wanted to try this recipe. Is this liquid castile soap? Or is the saponified olive oil the actual soap and thr other ingredients are jsut added? Thanks for the video!
Liquid soap of any kind is made from KOH, cold/hot process soap is made from NaOH, which makes a solid bar. Castile soap is made ONLY with olive oil. If there is even one other oil (such as sunflower oil) it is not Castile soap anymore. Saponification happens when the lye, oils/butters and liquid (usually water) combine to make soap.
It's 48 hours until it's safe to cut and then cures between 1 week to 3 weeks depending on when I'm planning to sell. I never a sell a bar that hasn't been weighed until all residual water has evaporated and it's been tested for lather :)
Oh how I have missed doing videos, my mom is very sick IPF , we are moving personal, and the soap gal business is scaling up! So just been pre occupied. Bless you Silvana thank you for asking.

Hi Joanne. If i want to make a 1 kilo soap, what would the recipe be and how much 50/50 lye fo I put in and goats milk ?
lots of variables so I can't answer exactly but watch Soapmaker 3 video, it will provide guidance for you!

Can you add sugar to make in lather a bit more? If yes, how much per pound?
Great question! You'll want to experiment. It depends on how gritty you want your bar to be!

No I use room temperature oils and cold milk
