I've noticed I tend to love his songs that reference time, this one, "20 Years Ago", and "The Last 10 Years." I have a mix tap of Country sons my dad made in the 80's off the radio and this is on it. I listened to it constantly as a kid (still have it transferred to CD), so I wasn't aware this song was never a hit. It has always been a hit in my world. 😆

This is one of those songs that you just have to scratch your head and wonder how did this beautiful song with such amazing lyrics and delivered so smooth and rich by the magic only Kenny's voice could deliver not make it to number 1 crazy just crazy and I'm old enough to remember when this song came out ! Some things in life just don't make any sense and this not making it to number1 is one of them.
This is my favorite song which I dedicate to my wife every year . This year ( 11/09/20) . We got married on 11/09/68. The reason being we've been through so much: my wife had breast cancer and uteran cancer, broken hip, head injury and I had 2 heart attacks and 3 surgeries) So we made this song ours. Thank You.
