No. The movie was privately financed by Maurice Kanbar. This movie is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. This movie could have *easily* been just another low effort fairy tale parody trying to ride the laurels of Shrek's success But instead they actually put in a ton of effort and made something really special. The writting and dedication to continuity is great, the voice actors clearly had a ton of fun and I the animators, despite having 0 experience with 3D before this, clearly got better and better as production went on as there is noticeable improvement in animation in the latter half of the movie. Hell, even the various dubs of the movie are equally hillarious because this is one of those movies where the humor was adapted *really* well in any version. Just a shame that some idiot decided to get rid of EVERYONE who worked on this movie for the disasterpiece that was Hoodwinked 2
Wolf is wearing that Afro becuase his whole character is referencing a movie called fletch about a guy who disguises himself to investigate stuff for a column

16:12 fun fact. My great grandpa was offered a share in the Walmart company, but since he was the head of a competing family-run store, he obviously declined. Later lost his job and everything to walmart. 😔 I coulda been living that life of luxury, fam.
0:52 OH YEAH ITS JOE SWANSON VOICING THE ROLE !” 😂😂
Fun Fact: Mr. Flippers Is Voiced By David Odgen Stiers, Best Known For His Role As Major Winchester On MASH.
He also voiced Jamba (?) in Lilo and Stitch and the little clock dude in Beauty and the Beast. But Major Winchester is definitely my fav role of his

I was reminded of this movie's existance by one of the previous episodes on this channel. It reinvigorated a part of my memory that has been long locked away, and I have since longed for spilling the milk to watch this masterpiece. This video is what keeps me young. What keeps me light on my feet. I love my job. I love my life. All thanks to Hoodwinked. This reaction has singlehandedly unlocked a core memory, it has enabled me to feel again, feel immense joy.
I’m sorry but the frog is so attractive
Definitely Tumblr Sexyman worthy lol

0:38 The movie acholedges the fact it's a shrek ripoff
This is one of those movies where the animation may be lacking, but the writing and voice acting are genuinely great.
"And if you want us to watch Hoodwinked 2-"
We don't.
we do*

Caught me off guard
Hoodwinked > Foodfight
that's just like saying being a zombie < being a vampire ...
I will forever stand by the fact that the “worse he’s a reporter” line is one of the best lines in movie
Hoodwinked was my CHILDHOOD! So glad you guys reacted to this
Me and my friends used to watch this movie weekly for the visual gags and funny songs
Then we got older and realized the visuals are atrocious
THEN I got even older and realized the writing is fucking gold
8:43 What you should show people when they say the ice age baby looks weird
💀
Just to see this full reaction I'm willing to buy your patreon soon guys, you've really made me laugh a lot in these weeks that I started following this channel
Trust me, when you're a kid, you don't care about animation, which actually has a stop motion feel to it.
No stream is complete without Kor predicting the twist of a kids movie
14:19 them acting surprised even tho kor accidentally revealed it in the beginning
15:16 is my roommate when he tells me he's a femboy
YOUR ROOMMATE WAS A FEMBOY?!?!?!
I feel so bad for you.
This movie deserves a remake but don't touch the script, don't even record the new audio just reanimate it so it no longer looks like shit and it would be 10/10
I feel like this would be a PERFECT movie to watch when you're drunk and with friends.
Wow happy to see this excellent trainwreck get some recognition! And I just noticed the misspelled Swedish reference on the poster for the Happy Yodelers @ 8:25. I wonder if they fell for the old switzerland=sweden pit trap or if they did it beacause of the somewhat true trope of americans thinking they're the same.
Also, surprisingly many big names doing voices for such a cheap looking movie.
I love that 'pick up dry cleaning' and 'call mom' are part of Boingo's Evil Plan.
Oh, for those who can't be bothered to go back and forth frame by frame to see all of Boingo's Evil Plan, the checklist is as follows:
✅Take down Muffin Man
✅Ruin Red
✅Act cute & fuzzy
⬛Steal Recipe Book
✅Send Wolf on goose chase
⬛Pick up dry cleaning
✅Pay off evil ski team
⬛Pay gas bill
⬛Call Mom
⬛Finish lair

I remember watching this movie on DVD so many times as a kid. A certified classic.
i watched hoodwinked as a high school assignment to compare stories and morals together and points of views. i believe it was probably my history or english class but still, was a fun watch!
I like how everyone misses the plot hole that the cable for the cable car just leads DIRECTLY INTO THE GROUND next to the police van and not, yknow, a cable car station?
I remember watching this as a kid. It was one of those movies u watch as a kid where you know it's not the classic pretty Disney movie but it's still so alluring. It felt like some adult swim type stuff, and I guess I can say this movie was pretty much my own Shrek experience lol (I'd watched Shrek before at a much younger age, but didn't get it.)
This movie got so popular here in Brazil. The dubbing team had incredible creative liberty, as well, and it came out a masterpiece
this movie is proof that a good story can save a bad animation
This movie is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover.
This movie could have *easily* been just another low effort fairy tale parody trying to ride the laurels of Shrek's success
But instead they actually put in a ton of effort and made something really special.
18:19 the fact the music was made by murray gold. The guy who made music for doctor who for 11 seasons just hits different
8:50 what the fuck are those creatures 💀
ngl, this is one of my dad's favorite movies. From referencing The Thin Man with Nicky Flippers, to the Fletch reference with the Wolf, to the silly writing. But he especially loves that singing goat scene. 😅
I love how granny is just Abe Lincoln in this scene 16:34
4:17 I unironically use this in my daily speech. This film is proof to me that good animation doesn't make a movie good, and bad animation doesn't make a movie bad.
This is so funny because as a kid I only watched Hoodwinked Too and never knew this one existed.
Thanks!
16:20 This looks like a Half Life render😂
This movie getting a reanimated collab would go so hard. One can only hope
Hoodwinked is a fantastic film with great comedy and amazingly written characters. Hoodwinked Too is a botched abortion of a cash grab that ruined every single character and all of the development they were lovingly given in the first one.
This is my FAVOURITE film. However this film is literally impossible to find. Not on any not dodgy platform. The soundtrack, which is amazing has been wiped of spotify and is only on youtube as reuploads. I blame the mouse.
Red is blue was sung by Ben Folds, who also sang the soundtrack over the hedge
2:50 you juked me out so hard I actually started fast forwarding
15:45 HEY! I got hit in gut by a soccer ball when I was 12 and I cried from the shock of pain. Wouldn't you guys like to know how it feels to get hit by wide coverage ball. Shock is a real thing. It's why shotguns are so powerful; you're left with numbing pain. Had it been the chest or my back I would've been fine.
*FUN FACT* :This movie was made on a budget of $8,000,000 (which is about $12,000,000 in today money), and then after release it made back *$110,000,000* .
Thats fking insane to think about, and especially since its the studio's first movie and we're actively learning how to animate as they went along.
