- In today's adventure, we take on the Grabouw 4x4 Trails which prove to be equally as challenging as it is beautiful!
With over 30+Kms of 4x4 and off-road trails, breath taking mountain vistas, emerald forests, a deep blue dam, this place has A LOT to offer!
Piloting my Nl Pajero Blister Fender 2.8TDI with new 32' BF Goodrich KM3 tyres, Jason in his trusty Pajero SWB 3.2 DID and Dean in his weapon of a Hilux, we were ready to explore Grabouw's vast network of trails.
With obstacles named Diff Lock Alley, we were in for a challenging treat!
The scenery you get to enjoy and are able to explore is one of the best parts of this 4x4 trail. They also have an AWD/all wheel drive/4X2 route that can be enjoyed by other SUV's/Bakkies/Trucks and still be nicely challenging for them! There are also hiking and biking trails.
I can't wait to get back there and explore more! There is so much on offer, and is great fun for any outdoor/off-roading enthusiast!

Quick question, I recently purchased a 95 LWB 2.8 Pajero. It has a lift kit and 31" All Terrain tyres. Do you have a rear diff-lock on your Pajero?
I only have the standard super select limited slip diff-lock on mine. I'm just wondering if mine will be able to tackle all the rough terrain at the Grabouw 4x4 trails. I went there a few months ago with a legend 45 and if we didn't have that rear diff-lock we would have been stuck.

Looks amazing. How long does the trail take?
The Trail is around 30kms including all routes, it's not just a start to finish trail, more a choose your own adventure one. You could probably spend the whole day, sun up to sun down, exploring.
