Starting my thru hike of the AZT next tuesday! Pumped watching this. Don't expect to do it nearly as quickly.

Side note to all the viewers: Snacks (Austin) who joined up on the last two days was the 4th person ever to yo-yo the PCT.
"Dude, I can't find my wallet." < I felt this statement.
Last time I said that was on the return trip from Afghanistan. I had purposely packed it in a pocket I never use because the snap it had was very stubborn to open...then TSA found explosives residue in my toiletries kit...I about had a highspeed-come-apart...Thank God the TSA supervisor was a retired infantryman and after looking over my orders not only said I was free to go but also brought me to my gate on his gulf cart!
It was great running into you in the hometown. Your videos are some of my go-tos when I’m stuck inside studying for med school. Super happy for you and your wife

I went backpacking with some friends and my kids recently. I’ve always been more Bushcraft style than anything. However, my kids told me how much they loved backpacking and want to see more sights and keep on hiking. I just bought them both lighter gear and packs. Thanks for the influence. We watched this whole AZT segment and absolutely loved it!

Awesome, Darwin--Congrats. Hiked some of the Canyon in early April. Didn't make it to the North Rim for a number of reasons, but it is spectacular!

What a great trail.
I did hike a couple passages at Tucson in April and then drove to GC to celebrate the 100th anniversary as a national park and did rim to rim to rim. Two days one night. That's all I could get for a camping permit. It is a fantastic gike into the canyon. I love it. I think next year I will be fully retired and hike the entire trail! Maybe with better conditions and less snow.
That's for the video. Will be waiting for the movie, I'm sure it will be great too.

Congratulations on your accomplishment. I've driven from the north rim to Jacob's Lake. I can't imagine what it would be like to walk that distance.
The Grand Canyon is just so awesome. Got to spend a week hiking and camping it and can't wait to get back.

As has been said already many times and will be said by us as well, thanks for taking us along on a trail that we will probably never hike ourselves. Beautiful trail. Do have one question now that you are done -- how many gates did you open and close along the trail? Seems like almost every day you had one or more to go through. Thanks again. What's next - whoops, that was two questions.
How is nobody talking about how freaking green the Grand Canyon is! I've only ever seen pictures, but never with so much green!! It all looks stunning!

I just did 4 days in the Grand Canyon a month and a half ago... now I need to go back to do the area you were just in, I love the Canyon.
