They don't ever catch poachers and literally do nothing but ticket honest fishermen. If they were really doing their job we'd have more fish around and more animals. And they asked him to reel in his rod under no suspicion, this is called hunter harassment, it's a law, most people don't uphold it

Good call on the releasing of the 17" striper. Those fish and game dudes have binoculars and we're probably still keeping an eye on you after they left your spot. You might want to invest in a folding fish ruler with the flat end so when you measure you put the fish flat on the ruler with the nose against the flat end. Measuring with a tape measure might not get the most accurate reading for a fish close to the minimum size. It's not an issue for fish that are obviously well over the 18" limit.

I've had to release many already that was 26 to 27 inches.

I say you ask me this every time and I got all my legal requirements here. DFG comes to you ask you a few quick question.. you show them your tags and license with ID and reel up your line and that's it.. they should not be searching in your bag for you tags and license..

If they check and you catch fish then let them check so you can catch the keepers. You should look for baitfeeder reels so you don't have to loose the drag when you set the poles. I got my baitfeeder reels from kastking and they are ok.

My wife and I got checked three times in our boat in one day. All within an hour. Some vacation when the law just harasses you like that.

I fish the river near chico and Hamilton city and I have been stopped for my license twice in a month. Never seen them out there until this year

Striped bass are invasive we have them here in AZ they are fun to catch for us fisherman but can wreak havoc on a smallmouth river or lake.

@@jarrodpitts5632 that doesn't apply to them grabbing your belonging and handling like its theirs.. you as the fisherman reel the line in and they check it for illegal hooks, etc. where does the " you are required said that?" i fish salmon and dino all the time.. DFG comes to you ask you a few quick question.. you show them your tags and license with ID and reel up your line and that's it.. they should not be searching in your bag for you tags and license..

Octopus bait. Something very sus like, ya know, how the warden have to check that bait, lol.

If they check and you catch fish then let them check so you can catch the keepers. You should look for baitfeeder reels so you don't have to loose the drag when you set the poles. I got my baitfeeder reels from kastking and they are ok.

They want to see how many hooks you have. Your not allowed more than 3 hooks per line.

I've fished Wisconsin Lincoln Park in racine.......the DNR is undercover there on the salmon run......Montana Yellowstone river I was getting my license online when the DNR came up. He just Said show me when your done..........
