- Apple Streusel Cake
I always make this cake especially if no one is eating the apples on the counter. Instead of having to throw ripe apples make it to something delicious that everyone will love.
Try this recipe, my family loves it for sure yours too.
Ingredients:
Cake batter:
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup (55 grams)butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk, at room temperature
2 large apples cut into cubes
Streusel Topping:
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup light brown sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
3 tablespoons (40 grams) cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup (50 grams) toasted and coarsely chopped nuts (you can use almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, or pecans)
