Thank you for showing it real, and for being real, and for not being sponsored by one product so you can show all the different products that can be used together in the fabulous harmony you create! Hi Lel I just had to share with you that I was having a difficult morning and I was in kind of a down mood. So I decided I made myself a cup of tea sat down and turned TH-cam on and I’m like it’s so early here where I’m at and it’s probably too soon but I’m going to look and see if made by Marley has a new video up yet today. And TaDa there you were. You had just put one up five minutes ago. Thank you thank you and your hubby too❣️❣️ now this is a great way to turn my morning around🤗🌹
I wanted to explain my comment because I hope you didn’t take it the wrong way: The day you say I am going for perfect I will have to check and see if I am watching a made by Marley video! I say this because of what you said in the video about never going for perfection! Your technique in my eyes is to not try for perfection and therefore your art work always turns out beautiful and unique!! I love your technique! I have never seen tiles done this way and I am so impressed! I absolutely loved the way the tiles turned out! I love the way the entire project looks! Another awesome video! Your always fun to watch and with Martin laughing in the background you two always give me a good laugh because you two are so joyful and happy and laughing together while making your videos. I love watching and learning from your videos! I always get my best ideas from you!!
Drue that is so so kind I'm glad you get it I never aim for perfect I was told years ago that striving for that kills creativity. I'm glad you get ideas... I always in my working week try to do a video on something helpful to others... I'm grateful you watch us I must admit we really do have a lot of fun... Normally I'm in the studio by myself until video days and marty is such a laugh... Although he's really cold the poor wee lamb x
You are my hero!!! You know, I was given a kitchen table from a sweet neighbor who didn't want it. I didn't get any vibes from it, but seeing your table gives me ideas! I'm going to try it - thanks for the video!
Once again, Lel, I am *_so_* impressed with your skills. Belated HNY to you and Martin! And yes, those pristine Converse - keep them away from your workshop fgs! 🤣
I was so happy to see you today!! Was just putting the finishing touches on a current project, got a cup of coffee for a break and there you are!! Beautiful piece, love it when we see the potential when others do not! I was hoping my breath and sand saying a prayer of protection for your news shoes, with a giggle. I gave up having paint clothes vs everyday clothes, it doesn't work for me because when the inspiration hits I hit back, no matter the time or what I'm wearing!! Thanks for the visit and loved the table! HNY to you and Martyn!! Hugs from Texas.
Ha ha yes I nil over to the shed in new cloths end up tinkering then realise I've got paint on my new jeans..... Ha ha its what we do My trainers survived bar a tiny splatter.... Happy new year to you lovely lady x
I love this look , your table came out great. It’s so good to see an artist play with paint when so many furniture painting is just use spray guns. Interesting and Beautiful
Susan I can a hundred percent guarantee that you will never see me use a spray gun.... I'm an artist I need to feel the paint and make it move and create depth.... A thing a spray can cannot do... And I don't want to pretend it's not old it just is. I really appreciate your comments and I think we are on the same wavelength x
Everytime I see you bundled up for the freezing temperatures in your stable I think, "Can I send her money for a plug in portable heater or something??" 😂🥰. Martin, can't you build her a warm spot in the stable?? Lol. I'm just teasing 😂. Thank you again for sharing your amazing artistry ❤️🇨🇦. (love the shoes, btw! 🥰)
Hey there, if only it was as simple the stable is away from the house being an old stable which had horses in in before we moved in it has water but no electricity. We run power to the stable from Marty's workshop. The workshop is closer it has its own separate power box from the cottage. As the cottage is 200 years old it has lots of quirks and when we run the power it can run all the lights but it cuts our power of and fuses the electricity if you plug in heaters.... Ha ha Marty also bought and restored a log burner with the intention on installing it but health and safety says we can't do it. So I'm having to wear fur lined knickers till spring, I would like to say you get used to it but I am getting worse. If you have seen any of my recent videos I'm currently painting in the house beside a fabulous log burner living my best life. Thanks so much for watching and leaving me comment x
Love this one Lel!!! I say that sometimes also... this should be quick 😆😆 and then the little devil who sits on my left shoulder does that little evil laugh and says.. who are you trying to kid Laura 😈 👿
Laura I'm feeling you. Sometimes I try to do a tutorial that will not be to long I always think my videos are to long... So I say to marty right I'm doing this. I then say I promise this will not be days on end I'm going to do this in a day.... I have never ever achieved that. Marty knows that I just keep adding stuff.... And so there we are freezing our butt's off while I could have finished a day ago.... Ha ha I'm glad I'm not alone ♥️
Thanks Lel, I look forward to each of your tutorials and this is another great one, love it and I love your high tops too so very you hope you got away before they were painted.
Oh my goodness Marley . That’s Absolutely stunning! Ide ❤ to try that , but it certainly wouldn’t look like yours ! You Truly are an inspiration. Boy oh boy I had a giggle when I saw you with your beanie on , boy it must be pretty cold there , I’m Sweltering here in Australia 🥵40 today Have an awesome day and can’t wait to see what you do next!
It is cold here but not as cold as its been recently.... I'm sure yours would be just as good as mine give it a go.... Thanks for your kind comment and for watching Lel x
Hey Lel, I know you have a lot of people asking for you to do and show all kinds of things and you’re an incredibly busy woman. But I would so very much appreciate if maybe sometime in the near future, you could show us this stamping on top of stamping, and then using, the paint pans and so on, like maybe on the side of a bookcase or an end table, something where we just really focus on that. Because this is a styling technique that is really perfect for in my home, but I need inspiration. I need an idea. I need something I can look at plus instructions on how to get the different luxe. I just don’t have that talent and instinctively in me like you do. I know it’s a lot to ask but if the opportunity arises I could really use some step-by-step. Also, if you ever like create a class series, separate from your channel, I would be happy to pay for something like that. I don’t have a lot of money and I know that your time is money you need to make a profit. But I was hoping and I’m sure there are many other people out there who would be willing and able to pay for a class via the Internet. I hope I’m making sense here. I just I love watching your videos for inspiration and enjoyment, and I would also like to have instruction class separate from the videos if that’s ever a possibility lol.
Hi Mikki I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been sick again my apologies. I wanted to try and answer all your questions... Yes I can show you a stamping on top of stamping look on a different piece next time I have a piece that works with that I idea I'm more than happy to show you this in context. One of the reasons it's taken me so long to get back to you as I wanted to let you know that yes there will be tutorials on furniture that you can download and buy from us some time before the summer showing you every single step of the process from cleaning painting to sealing and staging... So that answers your question. Your next question I totally understand about painting along with me and being able to ask about your piece as you go. I'm going to have a channel membership group on TH-cam again sometime this year probably before the summer in this group I will be doing a live piece each week where you can paint along with me and ask questions as we go. I think this is the closest I can get to one to one tuition. I'm so sorry I don't have firm dates and a proper time scale to give you but you are not the first to ask me for these things and I really want to help. Just stay with me a little longer so I can get myself properly prepped. Mikki thanks so very much you are always so very kind and nice with your comments. I appreciate you taking the time yo watch and leave me a message. Lel x
Simply WONDERFUL!!! I struggle with how to handle tabletops and this design is so unique. Gosh, I wish you had done a tutorial on that coffee table we saw right before you started on this piece. That piece Blew My Mind! Took my breath away! Have you posted a picture of that piece anywhere so that I could get a really good look at how you made it work so beautifully? The 'grunge' look on this table suited it well. I particularly had to smile at the pains you took around the handle to make it look just rusty enough. You spent more time on that small detail than you took elsewhere. And yes, your pieces are never quick and easy as you sometimes suggest they will be at the start. They always evolve into your unique detailed style. Love them ALL!
Ha ha ogh sydni I'm laughing.... I do like a little detail and I can't take a handle looking stuck on it needs to either stand out sit back or be a statement.... Actually that table top took so long I was over it it after the first half hour x
What a gorgeous table. I love that Pumpkin ink colour you’ve created another beauty Thank You both for another great tutorial. I can’t wait until you do the Membership too 💖
Yes the pumkin ink was in my stash and I thought it would look good.... I have a few colours but never use them. Expect some more furniture with the inks now I've remembered them. Do you ever put things in a safe place then it's so safe you forget? I do ha ha Glad you liked it and thanks for watching x
Gorgeous 😍 I hope your new shoes were paint free by the end of it 😅 I only feel comfy in my painting clothes and even went shopping today in my paint splattered pink crocs. Love to you both ❤
This little table turned out so lovely! ❤❤❤❤ I have the Cubano stamp and have never used it but now I’ll pull it out of my stash😊 Thanks for the continued inspiration!
First of all, I like your new kicks. Hope you didn't get paint on them!! I never thought of using the Cubano stamp on a table. I'm gonna try it. Thanks for all your good ideas.
The table looks like something you might find in a shed somewhere in Mexico, left there by someone's great-grandfather nearly a century ago. The "tiles" look real. Did you make that rabbit??? ❤❤❤
Wow, I absolutely ADORE this, love, love ...lurvve ❤ That stamp Lel, pure ingenious misses! I need that stamp now! Did you manage to keep those new shoes paint free?? X
