Hi Lali, lovely to see you back, I hope all is well with your health and your PhD studies. This is the most comprehensive research I've ever seen, and you're the first to bring all the possible gear available, to address this huge problem. You've gone above and beyond to create this database, which will impact people around the world. Welcome back Lali.💗

As an aside, when you reach the age that you require varifocals, measure the distance from your motorcycle clocks to your eyes (in usual sitting position) and tell your optician/optometrist, the distance usually used is a "normal" reading distance which is a lot shorter than your bike one.

Possibly the most useful TH-cam video I have come across. Thank You! Haven’t read through all the comments so apologies if this has already been said. Snowmobilers have these issues too. There are 12v heated visors available. Haven’t come across any heated eyeglasses yet. As you know it’s usually the helmet airflow cooling the glasses that’s the root of the problem. Heated visors seem to help.
Psychrometric charts illustrate dewpoint thresholds. I think the problem is sometimes worse at above freezing temperatures. Below freezing the outside air is extremely dry

Oh thank you, this be a really useful data base, I always wore sunglasses with my helmet, so I could keep clear shield on it in case I was out after dark, but now I am old and blind and need my glasses to read my phone, so riding with my eye glasses may become a dreaded need. Have fun, keep it spicy and be safe.

Good stuff! Some other factors to consider, spectacle frames with flexible arms vs solid arms and the associated difficulties in hooking over the ear lobes. Some helmets have space around the ears but ear size is very unique to individuals. Another thing you mentioned last time about ventilation in the face area and the prevelance of spectacle misting. A helmet with direct air flow through the chin bar directed to the face helps. Many direct air only onto the visor.

Hi, people barely talk about the subject and like you I thought it would be just lucky if it would be comfortable to wear glasses inside the helmet, after measuring all kinds of helmets I bought the helmet that was the most comfortable of them all, when I got home I found rubber bands to attach to the inner padding to hold the glasses in place. The model I bought does not appear in the DB but I thought to note that there are other models that are comfortable for the blind among us. Anyway congratulations on the initiative keep making great videos!

I like the fast pace of this vid, it keeps me interested. People often think they are being helpful by suggesting I get contacts. Yes, I have heard of contacts and if I wanted them I would already use them! Call me crazy but I find sticking a foreign object on my eyeball abhorrent, keeping stuff OUT of my eyes is the problem I face.

I wear 👓 and currently use AGV K5S also have a Shuberth C3 and an LS2 storm all are OK with 👓, all have a pin lock which is a must, I like my AGV K5S the most, oh and get the highest number pinlock you can, also treat your glasses with an anti fog spray, I ride in the UK and its the worst place in the world for fogging ( its why I like the K5S and its visor lock) the C3 is best if you are going to do a lot of stop start riding, maybe good for Lali I bet she finds it hard to keep quiet for more than half an hour 🙄😚

Bell Qualifier is on the list. I have one (MIPS version) and know that 1) it is a full face helmet (not a half face), and 2) it is not designed for glasses (unless Bell redesigned it in 2021). I can't ride without glasses so I changed it for Shoei GT Air 2 (also on the list), which is indeed glasses friendly.

@@AntiParallali Fair point! I have the HJC C70 (Troky varianr which is with the black/silver/orange color sheme) My wayfarer style glasses fit really good! Not squeezed in at all in helmet nor pressing on your skin. Nor have to get the padding out to fit the glasses. It has quite a good clearance, my helmet is an M size btw. I really do like it!

My Shark Ridill helmet works for me and glasses even with the drop down sun visor.

Any arai is not only worth the money but designed for glasses as well. Even the cheaper dtx is a great helmet with a sporty orientation, snell rating, adjustable foam sizes, pinlock visor and easily half as noisy and half as bulky as a shoei gt air for like 500 bucks

Quite surprised there is no Shoei NXR on this list. I find it so comfy with glasses, like they were never there. Plus it has unreal ventilation, my glasses only ever fog up when waiting on traffic lights during the winter or when it's raining.

I use to remove the foam around the temple part to squeeze in my frames

cute bird :3 I have glasses and didn't think there was "specifically made for glasses", but my cheap $85 amazon helmet seems to handle glasses just fine, I just have to take them off/put them on a certain way to make it easier. and yeah I will be upgrading to a $200+ helmet when I can afford a better motorcycle, barely riding my 109cc xD
