It my seem like we’re inching ever-farther from the return of the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue”, but Jordan Brand is still keeping spirits high with an impressive and vast collection of Air Jordan 4 Retro footwear. This upcoming “Military Black” is almost cruel given how close it is to the original blue shade from 1989, but despite the brand dangling that long-awaited re-issue, these are quite a consolation prize. Dubbed the “Military Black” for sharing the exact same color-blocking as the Military Blue, this looming June release swaps out that signature shade for a black on the midsole, heel-clip, and lace eyelets, as well as the tongue logo, tongue interior, and the inside base beneath the netting. These brand photos also reveal a similar density of the suede at the toe-guard as well. These are most certainly a clean addition to any summer rotation, but we can also envision what a Jordan 4 “Military Blue” would look like in terms of quality.

Yes definitely the colors with the 3’s & 4’s you can use any color & it will be explosive. They definitely have to go back to including the thick clear plastic hang tag & it would nice to get the lace locks too with each pair.

Great review and thanks for the insights on material quality. I already pre-ordered mine. I will say this: If you have a collection of 100+ sneakers, especially high heat like you, there's no reason to cop multiple pair for long term rocking unless you're rocking one pair for 2 years and beating them to dust. I get copping to trade, but other than that, I'd implore you to consider changing your mindset, especially for size 13. You know it's slim pickings.
And I'm not speaking for myself. I make plenty of bread and pay resale for what I want, but I remember being 17, needing to stack bread and then missing out while some dude was bragging that he had 2 pair. I understood back then as, there weren't nearly as many sneakers being dropped nearly as often and if you loved a drop, cop 2 because we never thought they'd drop again. But times have changed. You, DJ, have every major collab, Jordan PE's and nearly every hot GR. You really need two or three pair? Leave that for the kid that can't sniff the Union Jordan 2s because of current prices, but can save his dollars to look fresh in a GR for the summer. Food for thought.
I understand where you coming from, but wouldn't you also want an icy pair and a beater pair?
@@lildrake2519 I have more than 300 pair of sneakers. I don't have any beaters, even the shoes I just throw on for a grocery run and never clean aren't beat. In my experience, most people with decent sized collections don't even end up keeping the extra pair to rock. They trade or resell them for a higher price to get something else, which again, is fine, I guess. But I like having more people being in this hobby, especially young people.

IMO the military blues are the best 4s after the cements
The netting is much better on the blacks. If you look at the netting on the blues, it is perfectly horizontal & vertical. Looks terrible. On the black the netting is in line with the slant of the shoe. Much better.
