The only other M&L game I've played through is Dream Team, and while I do think Dream Team is the superior game, I also think Dream Team is not far off from being as equally flawed in terms of pacing Dream Team has bad pacing during multiple sections of the game (the section where you're climbing the mountain with the beef bros comes to mind) and way too many mandatory tutorials. I also think Dream Team starts off about as slow as Brothership I think the simplest way I can put is that I think Dream Team has much higher highs than Brothership, but also more lows. Whereas Brothership is mostly consistently just pretty good and not often more than that
Yeah, the mountain section of dream team did last an eternity. Tutorials were slower, but I felt it gave the most comprehensive rpg experience with gameplay elements and collectables, despite its own pacing problems. I had a ton of fun playing it, especially some of the bean farming towards the end. Brothership had a very good middle half, but struggled to start and then come to a stop. I agree that it was consistently good for a vast majority. Dream Team will probably still stay my favorite, but I'm glad I gave brothership a shot because I disagree with the overall score of the game of most critics while agreeing with some of the criticisms.
